If the board are so concerned about MA intentions why have they not done something about it before now? Not one of them has put their hand in their pockets while MA has gathered nearly 30% of their business. This hasn’t happened overnight, it’s took a year or so for MA to get to this stage.

This business has been rundown over years with practically no communication to investors until the past few weeks. Inexcusable for me, and although I also have my doubts re MA intentions he’s getting my vote because he now has the most to loose in this wreckage. GLA

Frasers Group is seeking approval for majority shareholder Mike Ashley to cash in £585m of shares, which could be bought back by the company in a private deal.

The Sports Direct owner said it wanted permission to buy back the shares privately from Ashley through one or more transactions at the market price at the time, The Guardian reported.

Stinks, Qube increase their short position yesterday after watching the SP increase 15% over the previous 3 trading days?! WTF? OK its only @ another 100k but the potential loss so risky, you just wouldn't........ unless you know for sure what's about to happen to the SP

remember the guidance for FY issued only 3 months ago and 2 very good Summer months since. I expect Wednesday update to be good figures YTD, however quite rightly warning of significant potential downturn in second half of year. Unfortunately IMO even a very good update could not move this SP right now, just too many shorts and all sitting in the wings desperate to jump in and report negatively on any news!

Summary.
The Group's outlook for the year ending 28 February 2023 remains unchanged. Revenue growth for FY23 is expected be low-single digits, with a return to growth in Q2 and growth rates improving in the second half of the year as the Group annualises high returns rates and normalising consumer demand. Adjusted EBITDA margins are expected to be between 4% and 7%, in line with prior guidance, as the Group continues to be affected by pandemic-related and inflationary factors that negatively impact costs within its supply chain and international competitive proposition, offset to some extent by the financial benefits from our strategic priorities and leveraging of overheads.
