after the approval of a 3rd vaccine, i would have thought a bit of a rally...iag is losing steam now , almost negative..very odd, same as it is very odd this board is silent now.

No chance BA will fork out £3 billion. They always end up not paying fines or they end up paying a little fine. Their lawyers are the best in the country and they will get round it. If this news was at all concerning, the share price would be down 10-20 %.
I can see we are approaching £1.60. £1.70 next. IMO.

Well done ollyboy. I got in this am at 1.53 and am waiting for 1.58 b4 offloading them. i have many more at lower prices but those are for long term..these are the ones i keep buying and disposing of when i make money. we might see 1.58 or 1.60 today..it all dipends but the fact that flights are not taking off will hold back the price till march. then we will see a spike in the share price..until then buy and sell strategy will pay off. IMO.

we are down because Ryanair announced few if any flights from jan 21st. BA is reviewing its flight schedule too..Almost nil flights today so no income.(according to flightradar24 and ba.com). the shorters will be forced to close soon as flight schedule picks up again in March.

just picked up some at 1.53. might sell if we see 1.58.

only going down till march..then up..unfortunately no much flying today..all cancelled..thats why we are seeing red today. we need patience.

yes Aly, i do agree with you...it's a good time to load up..when everyone is running scared, it's time to buy. the rewards can be huge.. great times ahead..This time next year we will be millionaires!!!

Aly, first of all IAG is down 5-6%..not 9%..second this is not carnage..carnage is if we r down 30 pence..third i have around for a few decades trading BA and IAG after that..this is a tree shake to get rid of some investors..the weak ones who sell as soon as the price goes down a few pence..

Stevencthompson, could you please copy and paste link where it says the vaccines will not work on the new SA variant of the virus? Today we should see a rise back to £1.70. Every day now is a day closer to reopening the economy, easter and summer is very important for the airlines and we will get there by then. that's all that matters. Up , up and away my friends.

no doubt IAG will carry on going up from here..Astrazeneca vaccine approval due this week, could be today, tomorrrow...as early as this week...which in turn will speed up vaccination here and around the globe..and with Brexit out of the way now, the only way is up...hold on to your shares, IMO..£2.00 coming shortly...time will tell..

£8.00 looks unrealistic, maybe!! People forget that the same way IAG did a cash raise they can also start a buyback in future years..let's not forget IAG did do buybacks prior to Covid-19. When IAG becomes profitable again, I am 100% positive they will do more buybacks because they can do whatever they like, no restrictions from anyone..and they will do just that..and the share price will fly...and dividends will return....happy days ahead...IMO.
