Jtan, if I had a packet of crisps every time people predicted this to go to £1.50 I would be as big!!! People on here don't realise that this share is not going to go down now that we are nearing the end of a pandemic. IAG will survive and will do very well. If some people are expecting this to collapse, i am sorry to say but they are going to be disappointed!! If you are trying to buy back in lower good luck. All IMO.

Definitely blue today. Lots of flights on BA.com and FTSE 100 futures looking good. This is the beginning of a share price increase I think. We were due one at these levels and now we have some certainty of more flights from Wednesday. I booked one myself in August. GL all..All IMO.

I predict 10-15 pence movement after announcement. It's going to be good this time, they know they have to stop playing silly games.. Or else people are going to be up in arms if EUFA are allowed to attend Wembley. This government , either way, is finished..It's time for more competent people to take the reins, open up travel for the vaccinated and vaccinate more. Simples.

Tradegurus, I think the opposite. Today, the government will do the unexpected and will surprise everyone. They have played games to allow a bit more time to make evryone safe and now is the time to open up a bit more. I wouldn't want to be out now, any bit of good news will make this share fly. They also know that the travel industry needs some help NOW. Expect this to fly soon. All IMO, please DYOR. I have a few facts in front of me and they all point to some good news. Not long now!!

Nice to see lots of people panicking..its a good sign..expect this share to do well...all this scaremongering has always worked for me, i have always used it to my advantage and i can see it working again this time. British travellers to Italy must quarantine for five days

Italy has introduced a compulsory five-day quarantine for all passengers arriving from the UK, officials have announced.

Health minister Roberto Speranza made the announcement on Friday, which he said was over concerns about the Delta variant.

Italy is on the UK's amber travel list, which means that anyone travelling there will also have to quarantine for 10 days on their return to Britain.

While they tighten travel restrictions for the UK, Italy is lifting them for passengers from the US, Canada, Japan and other EU countries if they can prove vaccination status.

I am very bullish on IAG but I just hope europe does not close to us now. Italy has just announced a 5 day quarantine to all britons going there on holiday. We were all worried about european countries being put on green list but we never thought they might put us on their red list and that is a big problem for this summer. If more countries follow suit it will be problematic.
All thanks to Boris...but as long as the vip's come to wembley for the finals without the need for quarantine, they don't care.
Hope it all works out and europe does not SHUT. Brexit has always been a bad decision.

Longterminvestor, i wish i could show u how lucky i was to sell BP and go into ezj. i like airlines shares , i always have ..I always kept LLOY from 27p so exiting at 50.1 was a good result for me. I am now keeping my eye on selling ezj at 10 and get back into oil and then lloy at 45p as results will be in august and they will be good. Anyway, I wish everyone good luck, i never want anyone to lose money and i never short shares. LLOY will come good in the next 12 months and so will BP.

I sold out at 50.10...waiting patiently for 45 pence now. Next week is a historic bad week for US markets, the S & P has on average lost 5% in the last week of June. I shall wait before re-purchasing these shares. Not in a rush, the lower they go the more attractive they become. At the moment I am all in airlines after having sold all my holdings in oil 2 days ago. Good luck to all though.

"Countries can be added or removed at short notice". They can announce more green countries without waiting for the 3 weeks which makes sense. Expect news when you least expect it.
Remember we could be at around £2..10- 2.20 again before any announcement. I am all in now but ready to take more profits if the opportunity arises...like i did yesterday at the close and re-invested it today. Let's see what happens. We will have more passengers from the 17th May compared to what we have now and that's a positive.

Wait till 17th when travel starts again, a bit at a time...US/UK corridor next...slowly slowly..Spain, Italy, France too. and this will fly in the not too distant future. We really have not got that long to wait now. And the good thing is we now start from around £2.00. DYOR.
