BBlue, the fact that US was not on the green list does not make any difference as US is closed to the UK holidaymaker at the moment anyway. One can still go there on business or for medical reasons. I expect both IAG and EZJ to head north though..we will soon find out who goes up the most or if they both go up the same percentage. I have both as I believe they will both do well. Good luck though with your strategy. DYOR.

Travel companies see 'frenzy of activity'
Steve Witt, co-founder of Not Just Travel, said the green list announcement has prompted a "frenzy of activity".
He said their phones and emails have been going full pelt and his consultants are planning to work late into the night and throughout the weekend because they are getting so many enquiries about holidays.
"Bookings to the green list countries are forecast to break sales records over the next 48 hours and weeks ahead," he said.

Symesuspect, people will travel no matter what. I have 2 flights booked to USA this year...Demand will be huge...share price will recover nicely. Actually, it is already and we haven't even started flying! The more the share price goes up, the more holidays people will take..Cheers IAG!

Most European countries in green list by 28th June and US too so share prices will do well. EZJ is planning on a strong summer and plans to operate most of the flights from August to October in my opinion. IAG will be doing the same. From now until the end of June we won't see much happening with regards to number of passengers for both. But share prices are always forward looking. BIGBLUE you should have bought more at £1.90 like I did a few weeks ago. DYOR.

helu, jobs report in USA came out below estimate by a mile...treasury yields went down and all banks took a hit. That's all.

No matter what they say this afternoon, IAG is ramping up number of flights and I guess they will only be operating profitable flights at first so cash burn will diminish, i guess that's why share price has not gone down because the worst is behind now. Furlough in till September so they can be flexible. This share is going only one way medium -long term but the important thing is to make some money on the way. Expect share price to jump on Monday. All IMO.

With results out of the way, today we will get the travel announcement. Any travel will be more than what we have had and share price will go up reflecting that. US/UK corridor will open soon too. A few months ago we were at £2.23 and we had very little travel. Now we will have many more passengers than what we have had. Expect share price to re-test previous highs. All IMO.

I decided to hold my main stake because, although results will not be good, there will be restart of operations from 17th May and I feel positive about the 2nd quarter but more importantly 3rd and 4th quarter should be much better. I also think the government will surprise everyone with better than expected announcement. GLA.

Any predictions about tomorrow? Results day+ travel announcement. Torn between selling some today. I have an idea of what is going to happen tomorrow but was interested in what people thought. Thanks.
