Today iag seems to be making up some of the 3% difference we lost to ezj on friday( iag was down 7% and ezj only 4%). Passengers carried was a record for a long time yesterday..nice to see people are travelling again..and us/ uk travel free quarantine should give us a boost..not long now till its reciprocated!! The only way is up from today..gla..and dyor.

marab, last year the 4 b loss was at halfway point.. also 3rd quarter will be strong. Also US will open in Aug/Sep so all is well actually. This will not go down to £1.50 , sorry to disappoint you. On a positive note, 550 flights today..and X bums on seats.

Marabab, have a look at other states too, not just florida which has a higher infection rate. Have you looked at New York which is the most lucrative route to BA? You should have bought more shares when it dipped to £1.59. Shame!! DYOR.

IAG results: Cash burn has reduced and has exceeded analyst expectations HOWEVER travel demand is strong in quarter 3 and we expect cash burn to be neutral.
Sky news: BA parent company IAG rallies 7%!!
BigBlue, just because you want IAG to go down and EZJ to go up at the same time does NOT mean it's going to happen. You know what, tomorrow you could see the opposite.. Today, EZJ seems to lag IAG share price by 1%..tomorrow it might be a lot more. Good luck with your switcheroo!!! I hold iag but nibbled at ezj when it went down but might sell them at 9.99. With the number of people flying today , i feel confident in both to go up in tandem. DYOR though.

Wait for the day to be over and IF the share price is down 10p , then yes...but at the moment we r down a couple of pence.To note, instead is the share decline difference between EZJ and IAG, ezj is down more than iag today..BA, gain, has 5 times the flights it had a month ago and i guess 5 possibly 6 the amount of people flying..That's good news and from next week they will be adding more flights i guess to cope with huge demand. This is good news and it means it will survive and profits will skyrocket due to the fact the cut costs. So, those hoping for a lower entry point at £1.50 or less will have to either come in at a higher price or move on!!! Sorry to say but this is only going up from here, especially as it is starting from a low base. By the way, i spoke to someone in USA in the travel industry and he thinks US will open up sooner than many think.. Looking forward to that day.. GLA and DYOR.

BigBlue, you see, i think you are wrong, results will catapult IAG back to £2.00 as we will have loads more flying and more revenue coming in. Are you aware that usa flights are rather full anyway??US passengers are transiting through LHR on their way to Europe at the moment. Plus business travellers can go to usa and they can come here freely. This share is worth more than it is now and if you look at consensus you will see. Expect £2.00 very soon IMO. Dyor before investing your money, prices can go up as they can go down.

Good start of the trading day. I suspect we will revisit £2 before we see £1.50!!!! Glad i added at 1.67 and 1.59. Feel sorry for those who either had to take a loss because of the sell off or the ones that missed out this great opportunity. My ezj and jet2 are also going up...yeahhhhhhhh.

19.44 sky news.Boris Johnson is set to approve on Wednesday letting in double-jabbed tourists from the US and the EU, according to the Financial Times.
Ministers, led by Chancellor Rishi Sunak, are said to have pushed the prime minister to act.
They reportedly argued it was safe to start allowing foreign tourists to visit England without the need for quarantine if they were fully vaccinated.
One Whitehall official told the newspaper: "It could take effect from as early as next week."
The decision to reopen England's doors to EU tourists is said to have been made easier after they started being issued with a digital health pass from early July. DYOR.

hardly an up day! We are following us markets today.Not sure why they are going down. But IAG and other airlines are not down much so if markets do recover a bit we will be closing in the green.. The news on US not opening up to europe and uk is old from yesterday!! Any links Gal?? and arriving flights?? Thanks.

Hopefully today we can see a continuation of the rise in airlines share prices. All is pointing to a rise through friday and then we should see a return to £2.00 which is overdue after RYAN reported the possibility of a small profit this year. IAG should hopefully achieve that given the fact they are a lean company now and the level of flying has increased 6X since a month ago. Gla and lets rocket higher!!! Sorry to those that wanted a cheap entry point, we can't wait for you!!! DYOR.
