How secure do we think the dividend is here.?A cut would see new lows

No doubt that there is a premium attached to this share.Fantastic growth prospects and the Luke Johnson factor. I'm happy to hols for now and buy in again in September/October .

I think there is support at the £3 level,it bounces back from falls below that level.

I suspect we probably went up a bit to quickly and now a little retrace.

Bit of a drop in SP today,can't see anything news specific to cake.

Pleased to say that the service and product quality in London is far superior to that of my local branch, which has sloppy service and not very much attention to detail. I'm going to send an email to the company and see what they have to say. On financials this is an excellent investment to be in.

I am travelling to London today and plan to visit a Valarie and will report back my experience..awhaaw,good post ,and yes there is more to cake than Valarie but it is the flagship company and important that standards don't fall.

I like the financial performance,the expansion roll out and the prospects here,but I have grave concerns now about the quality of experience on offer to the customer.I use Valarie ,like to support my own shares ,but the quality and selection is not what it use to be .its so important to maintain standards ,do any of you have a view on your local branch?

I think an eye needs to be kept on quality control,after a couple of very average visits to Valarie.Maintaining a standard while expanding is important.

On track for 35+ new Valarie stores this year.Good growth with stores covering their costs in two years on average.

Valarie look for an average customer spend of around £8 .my understanding is that figure is being exceeded.

It has come up a long way from the IPO ,so always good to take stock of the position. I added a little this week because a trading range has been established for some weeks now,i indicating that the move up above £2.50 was not a spike.I have the luxury of having the bulk of my investment under £2 ,so can take a view.I like buying into strength here. Did you know that shops are paying back the original investment in a little over two years which is amazing

Yes I agree ,we are the early birds and I feel and hope a little more astute.A dividend of 4.35p would be an excellent result but I feel it may be a little less than that,In any event a dividend will help attract new investors.

Yes I know what you mean.I like the apricot version of that tart ,can't seem to go in for a coffee without something on a plate.Good for the bottom line ,(If you know what I mean).

Im a former city trader so i understand what you are saying but ,spreads here have become wider in recent weeks which dosnt help encourage new investors.As you say nothing can be done about it,still a good investment. Atb

Yes agree. 2p is a good start for an AIM share .i will be happy with that and should also encourage other investors. I walk past my local branch every day and there is always good activity .Im sitting in a Valarie now,nothing like supporting your own shares. Luke Johnson gives us the edge here atb.
