I think JLP should have issued a joint RMS on this and the strategy going forward. Without it this looks like another almighty cock-up. Simply don’t understand why they are silent. They need to do something to defend the SP?

More one step forward, ten steps back! SP further stuffed for the next few months!

What really worries me here is that when there is no news for a length of time and the SP drifts south inevitably, when the news does arrive, there is another operational problem and the new lower price is the norm. I do wonder whether I’m living in some parallel universe where increasing value is seeing how close to zero you can get!

Trouble with these guys is they have all the ducks, it’s more case of whether they can put them in a row! History says when we get the next announcement one will have wondered off, be great, if, for once they didn’t!

Sounds more that a bit desperate. It’ll take months at that rate to raise the cash! JLP should just take them over. We should stop paying down debt and use the cash for this instead to avoid a placing.

The main point I took from LC’s presentation is no more placings? If this is the truth then this SP is only going in one direction! They simply have to announce a project without one to give something positive to the market?

Same question, what is the trigger for the SP to react? I find it odd because they’ve signed the JV and have the ZG on their side by all accounts and still nothing? Must be pxxing those last investors off somewhat!

if, as mentioned elsewhere, that Kabwe is worth £180m in profit to JLP I do wonder at which point the SP will start to move. Even if this came in over 18 years it would still be worth £10m a year and based on an average PE of 6 it should see this SP double? There will then be plenty of time to pick up other opportunities!

The happy path here is that BMR re-floats after getting its placing. Any uplift in it’s perceived value feeds the JLP share price. Win Win! Both companies need the deal over the line and to get on with recovering the value on the ground.

JV and re-listing? It would be good for the mood to change!!

Are both these companies listed in London? If they are then SA bank holidays wouldn’t matter?

Absolutely surprised that the SP has finished the day down. I assume this is because there is complete distrust of the company re risk of placing on any news! It seems the last at 3.60 has stuffed it for this year!

Surely this share must breakout now? Still got the JV agreement to come in the next week?

Moneyhawk, good numbers even if under your own admission high estimates. What they do show is just how rich Kabwe is. Double or treble the throughput and you’re into £20m-£30m revenue per year and based on another posting a lifetime of 50 years+ (Currently 148 years from post). Assuming you’d want the project to be more 10-20 years you can see the value that could be realised. And this could just be the start!

Interesting item although surprised this has slipped out? Maybe the quarterly update is bigger than we expect!

Another blue day would be good? Close over 3p on the sell would be good.

Considering the value of Kabwe and that JLP have the vote of confidence from the Govt I’m surprised that the SP hasn’t gone further. Appreciate that questions can be asked about deliverables but I think Leon can certainly deliver the project on time, as he did with Hernic. They just don’t want to over-promise in terms of ramp up, also Hernic!
