Well Putin's goals which he may or may not get are,
1) Not have NATO on his borders.
2) Stop the killing of Russian leaning people in the West of Ukraine and probably claim the autonomous regions lined out
in the Minsk agreement.
3) Remove the Nasi element of Ukraine at least from Ukraine's Government Armies, and yes their are Nasi's in every
country they just don't have regiments in Government Armies.
4) Keep Crimea as he wants the port.

Do you think Ukraine could run out of meaningful numbers of Troops or do you believe everything Sky news tells you??

I see 2 options regardless to your stance on the War,
Option A - They negotiate now and Ukraine loses land to the West.
Option B - The War continues more Ukrainians and Russians die and then they negotiate with Ukraine losing land to the West.

Badlands it all a guessing game, anyone who tells you otherwise is full of it, you could use some guppy charts to get out on a steep decline if you have made some money, easier said than done, if you have a lot of money wait years for a good day, on that day it will feel like RRInvestor is tickling your balls, or if you are up and then see some other stocks you like buy them or split your money up a bit if you think RR will go higher

Badland, let's say you brought your share low and you wait a few years and cash out your shares at 3 times their price, where does that money come from?? Then factor in the market never loses, it's all a game, market sentiment, Investment Funds, Market Makers, people buying high and losing, Bag Holders etc etc are all factors.

It's just following the market sentiment of the Economy, it won't do anything great till Investment Funds pile in. We could go down to 60p, we could be back at 90p in 3 months or be back there in 2 days.

Motley Fool are awful, they have articles from 1 chap saying they recommend then another saying he won't, you would have thought they could of had a meeting and had a company stance, makes their whole company look like idiots.

Mike, the whole stock market is a gamble, we can call it an 'educated gamble'. It doesn't matter whether you do it short term or long term, I would go as far to say any stock without a dividend is a Ponzi scheme.

Sophieben, re-read your post, you are right about not having the 'skill to trade', I guess it just sounded a bit harsh, as the knowledge you need to get out of the market as a long term holder is pretty easy to learn. Sorry Mate.

Sophieben, I disagree, long term trading is a strategy, some people don't want to spend the time or care about being pro investors, BUT they need to learn when to sell.
