One chap I follow says when JP Morgan puts a lower buy rating on a stock they have already sold and or are looking for a dip to buy or are shorting the stock, lol

It seems you can't trust anyone.

I was talking to a chap at work about stocks, he said his uncle did stocks, he got interested went and brought a load of 'first republic' shares, I did say to him that it was a bit risky, he knew better, that was the bank that went bust, don't think he lost to much, BUT I learnt a valuable lesson, NOT TO HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH OTHER PEOPLES MONEY.

I watched endless youtube videos and found 3 people smarter than me, it took a while, JK

But gathering information as I have watched videos, I would also have a look on fintwit if I had to start from the beginning..

You want to find someone who can interpret market sentiment, when to buy and sell, does swing trades and long term trades or day trade but that's not for me yet.

I would have a look around for what blends with your trading and what you want to learn, I think in the early stages finding a mentor you pay your £15 a month to is worth it for the 20+ years of experience you are getting, you can always drop it if you find someone better, fintwit seems to be the forum where the big boys play. Despite the stigma there are some on youtube to.

A lot of day traders will trade the first couple of hours then quit as this is when there is the most price action, probably more buyers and sellers early then everyone goes for lunch??, just what I have observed.

If you don't have money to lose pay your mortgage, the stock market will be here when you are ready.

OK no worries, I just heard a swing trader talking about 'slippage' on selling, but they are trying to scalp pennies, it would not matter for you either way, I was just curious. Thanks Mate.

My Blobby I had a question for you, with so many shares do you scale out when you sell them?? or do you have no problem with selling them in one lump sum at the price they offer in one go??

From my understanding they diluted their shares through covid, accumulated losses through covid, but if you don't expect the previous highs anytime soon and are willing to give them a bit of time, I think you could make a tidy sum, I see them as quite a safe buy if you are not in a hurry.

I had a questions for the more experienced traders here, some people believe if the short traders outweigh the buyers sometimes the market is manipulated to drive the stock higher to take the money from the shorts, I assume the 'market makers' would get this money which would mean the market makers would have to be in cahoots (partnership) with the actual market. Excuse my ignorance on this matter please.

You can only do what you think is right, we are making higher lows and many things like more efficient engines and smr's are simmering, we are also at the mercy of the general market, the new engines could have recalls and the smr's could never happen, BUT at the moment everything looks Good.

This is probably more important news than the smr's some of us thought could be an added bonus to the stock.

Beachfeont, you are silly selling this stock at the moment, find some ipo's, you could of brought into the fever with things like Palentair of Fubotv and sold out quickly.

Well at the moment we have higher lows over the last 2 months, but plenty of bag holders from 18 month ago and beyond.
