Hello :-)
Just like to add I do live in the London commuter belt.
I always having little chats with the small shop owners in my town when I pop down for a small shop.
My local bakery business is booming ( not because their sausage rolls are the best I must add ).
Everyone is mostly still working from home and are popping out to the shops locally for lunch.
Even with a Vaccine most city firms will want staff to work from home even if its only 2 or 3 days a week .... imagine the cost saving they having today ... coffee machines, electric, daily fruit delivery's, water the list goes on ....
Just think a Bank not going to pay someone £150,000 a year, working from home , no more, all contracts will be reduced considerably going forward.
London weighed salaries will be coming to an end
Big City offices will be turned in glamorous top notch Hotels with also many been converted into Posh housing looking over the Thames , just like the old Docklands was in the 80s / 90s
This is going to be the new normal, less salary but more home time
