Anyone interested in a chart? The things that I'm attacked and criticised for on a daily basis? Say so, speak up and I will tell you why I think that MS say 375 or whatever it was.

It's to do with TA and charting and would give a good speculative long entry. Although what it would not give, would be a guarantee that the price would rise and give you a profit. No-one and no-chart can tell you about the future.

As if it were magic, 385. Now it's time to watch. Maybe, just maybe, the market will find a point at which it thinks (group think) that OCDO's Market cap has approached OCDO's value.

VP, that implies that whatever we can't believe (i.e. expert opinion), what we can believe is the SP and what's happening to it. For me, it's what many call 'a no brainer', follow the money, learn about TA/Charts and use it in the way that you think gives you an edge. That's going to become more and more important as our media feed us more and more nonsense.

That's actually becoming consistent, publish something palatable, then once the world isn't looking so closely, revise it down. Nothing we see nowadays is real. Everything is in play by a non-benign media and the stock market. Very scary times, not a time to be caught off-side.

LL, never too late. Patience is a key. Also, buy low, sell higher. Weight your activity to the higher probability trades. You can dig yourself out of any hole when you get it right.

Or you can listen to the experts who know everything and ignore what's happening and take the approach that 'time in the market......", that's actually a marketing tool to make people afraid to take a decision. That works because 85% of market participants can't make a decision (that figure is from the air, but is probably not an exageration).

Don't worry about it jf, but don't stop paying attention to the SP. Start paying a lot of attention to what's happening after 385 (someone else said 386....). The time is coming to consider a long position

So what your saying is that it's an experience thing and you need to live it for a while before it will feel natural/useful? I'm finding it interesting , but not getting anything clear from it yet. It looks very, very useful, but I'm not on it for the moment. Everything takes too much time for me, it comes from being a bit thick I think. Heavy burden, but overcome-able (new word for the dictionary).

I've just started looking at supply zones and I'm a long way from incorporating them into any decision making. The supply zones are dependent up the time range on the chart, is that right? So by zooming in and out, you change the volume on price profile and the supply zone. So on my 2h charts there's no supply zone around 385, but if you move to 1 day charts I'd guess you could argue the supply zone starts around the top of the gap? I'd love to understand more about this side of things so would be happy for any advice etc.

It also depends upon which side of the oil price fence your hedges sit on. SH's think the BoD is great when the hedge is higher than the POO and they're hopeless when the hedged price is below it. So many forget that, despite what is 'obvious in hindsight', no-one can see into the future and any sensible planning as a large risk mitigation component. I think you just need to accept that there are times it'll favour a company and times it'll be less favourable. If it was a slam dunk, hedges wouldn't exist in the first place.

I agree, but I don't think 400 is going to hold. PI's are attracted to round numbers not so much the more significant players and CTAs

Flavius, the numbers weren't even 'Oil' in reality, although the oil figures were included. The US figures for many things are very carefully massaged. Everytime something looks bad, they do the calculations in a different way and 'hey presto' it's not a lie after all.

Indeed ms. I'm hoping that the market will find value pretty close to 385 and will be watching very closely if it reaches that area. No reason it couldn't drop further though so to buy without an indication that the buyers were overpowering the sellers, would be speculative. Speculative at 385 would be better than speculative at 700 and 'ignoring the drop'. It reminds me of that ridiculous quote from a fund manager in 2020 (I think). "It's time in the markets, not timing the markets" of all of the sound bytes I have read regarding trading. That is the most ridiculous.

Lucius, you'd only ignore it if you weren't intending to buy it. If you weren't intending to buy it, then you're already fully long. Which means you've been 'ignoring it' for a while.

You really should not ignore drops.
