Surely this is good business for any Argentina, as I understand their currency is being devalued , so if an Argentina buys dollars now, receives a small interest paymernt and converts back to Argentina (?) Pesos at the end is a good hedge against the currency falling

Wensley, ask Quads "there is no manipulation" , but I read it differently, it has been that way for weeks, hundreds of small sales or buy's . I own 6 self-controlled shares, and 30 odd which the broker has the discretion, None of the others has this volume of 'A' or 'AT' trades. I have respect for Quads, but he will not sit back and take someone else's point of view.

I mentioned Amerisur the other day. nobody seemed to want to bid. eventually a bid from an obscure co around the price of the market. Rejected. Then Co opens 'data room' only one tender fractionally above share price, won the day, when most people on LSE board were expecting 4 times the current share price.

This my recollection on the situation so may not be 100% accurate

There is a 690K deal at 16.49, I would hazard a guess that it was delayed announcement from about 1.15, when the share price started to rise, I was expecting a 2pm announcement in London & Toronto, but no. So I think it was this deal that sparked the rise, not gold price which didn't move up that much today

I haven't counted, which to me suggests the financial advisors/friends of both sides

A lot of posters say Cornerstone will sell for the right price, but I always understood, that Slog had first refusal , so I can see NM forming cohorts outside the current circle - although I think that very unlikely unless he is convinced of success, so why are they still important? yes the own a bit of Slog, but unless the outside sum is great, I cannot see it relevant
