RNS on 22nd June talks of 'positive distributable reserves', I dislike being repetitive but we really don't know how much that totals...

What chance operationally/legally could shareholders receive a dividend distribution solely from the North American arm?
I'm thinking the company would be prudent and decide not to currently, but just curious...

If I could attend the AGM, I would ask 'How much...?'

CASP have made efforts to enable dividends to be paid (High Court etc) and made repeated assertions to that effect

Have researched others who are far more vague in hinting they will make returns and have numerous caveats attatched, only to fail...but CASP seems serious and focused on divi policy

I do - so share price becomes somewhat irrelevant, if we are to receive quarterly dividends

For me investing in CASP is dependant on credibility, I only hold 50k shares currently, only a toe in the water, but with means to dive in - you seem pretty certain that divis are on the way fairly imminently, but its not just about the returns, as that would also signal that raises would be a thing of the past. And therefore any investment safe from dilution.

The feeling seems to be that July is too early for divis, although CASP have not ruled it out - July IS 'later' after all, but I'm prepared to wait if it should be more prudent

What chance the BOD have kept something 'up their sleeve' to be revealed at the AGM?

Share price has doubled in 6 weeks (from an undeserved low, admittedly) so maybe some prospective buyers wondering if this is some sort of spike, and holding off - don't think it is personally.

Would only be guesswork on my part to predict daily SP movement, I think anything of significance will be news driven imho

With a bit of compounding, the returns would be difficult to beat

I also read that if the 'urals' oil CASP produces can be renamed, then a higher return can be expected - I'm sure it stated that Russian oil carries that name too, so its attracting a lesser price curently - anyone else seen this, is that credible?

Was thinking similarly uncertain, would be absurd to have £204m cash in an account somehow, when Market Cap is £115m...

Thanks again uncertain, very informative - but it begs the question, now that the premium Share Account is cancelled can CASP use the funds as they see fit, or is it really just a figure on the balance sheet?

Thanks uncertain, am just curious that if cashflow is sufficient for dividends, then why the need to go to the High Court to cancel the Premium Share Account? Why not just pay divis from cashflow without the High court expense?

To clarify, I was not advocating a 1p divi, but simply putting that figure in perspective to CASP at £22.5m cost

No RNS but looking on HL, CASP annual Financials at 31/12/20 (the most recent listed) had the 'Share Premium Account' at $248.95m, equates to over £204m currently. Might be more now??

Actually I've just checked on CASP website, 'share premium' listed at $248.95m on page 44 of the Annual Financial Report 31 December 2020 - so HL figure confirmed

Agreed PVI1, its like a long drum-roll currently, awaiting the 'reveal'

It would cost the company £22.5m to pay a 1p dividend, but the recently liberated Share Premium Account held around £200m, so what qualifies as a 'meaningful' divi amount??

Also, are there any plans to enhance the business with this cash?

I plan to hold long term, so eager to discover regular quarterly divi amounts too

Difficult to find much of a down side here

ukred, Got 50k CASP now, but a bit hampered currently with EVR suspended (which I'm sure will be OK) - I potentially could increase CASP holding, however but was really intending to hold others for now

gasher, regarding EVR profits I'm trying to think of it as a 'savings plan' which will pay out in due course

What chance we can get something from Evraz NA, as North American operations are not restricted??

Delighted we have retained RASP, as it was unexpected and worth £1.88 per share by the demerger calculations
