Interestingly it is not compulsory for PLC’s to have interim accounts externally audited. It is considered good practice for companies to get their auditors to review them.

So that suggests to me there must be a reason why PPP have requested Crowe to initiate this additional validation. Hopefully it’s purely to demonstrate everything is totally transparent and above board rather than a stalling tactic.

If i’m being honest slightly disappointed we didn’t get the finalised accounts this week. That said all the numbers must add up which is a big positive. Additionally if it takes an extra week to demonstrate the auditors that Corp Gov is embedded in the new PPP. We have had a year and a half of sh-t due to lack/none of it under the former rulers. All positive as far as I see it.

Hopefully we should get Mav’s report on Texas by the end of next week as well. Not holding breath on Texas being the land of milk and honey but can live in hope.

Agree - to be honest i’m really optimistic about this share. Ultimately PPP is a new company. As far as i’m concerned the past has gone and i’d written off my investment. It’s a free ride for me now. Whatever happens on opening happens it’s the assets and production that counts going forward (coupled with strong leadership)

If there was a showstopper that was preventing accounts sign off I reckon we would have heard by now. Presumably PPP/Crowe have a meeting scheduled this week for the signing ceremony (after 18 months ceremony is an apt description 😉). I’m optimistic.

I think if PPP had erroneously quoted the FCA as blockers then they are on dodgy ground. For sure someone with a point to prove no doubt already have been in contact with (FCA) checking this claim out.

I’ve seen this before with delayed accounts timescales can slip slightly even when everything is genuine and transparent. My gut feeling is that we will get sign off a little sooner than Feb 20. Who knows (other than the BOD) there maybe after some value in Texas (not holding breath) and Mav’s findings are included in the accounts.

I’m putting my trust in the new PPP BOD. Fully expecting all outstanding accs to be published next week. I’d written this one off and never thought I would see this day. Good luck guys we need it - it’s been 18 long months of torture.

Seems a reasonable assumption to me Ssccss. Let’s face it we are all here because of the Texas assets (I won’t mention Jackanory RNS associated with it and the back story since Aug 24). Then all of a sudden whoosh it’s gone with hardly an explanation. The new management are putting that right and moving forward. Looking forward to the accounts being published next week, cross that of the list then worry about return to trading.

Clearing up all the legacy issues that have damaged trust amongst the genuine shareholders is a good thing. Also for me a change of company name at sometime to signal a departure from the past would be a positive move.

Was the potential for lithium extraction all smoke and mirrors. Hopefully not.

Each day that passes my trust in the new management team increases. Always willing to put hands up in say i’m wrong but somehow I don’t believe that Texas is the new Klondike (appreciate its oil not gold) more like an old cow milked to death enough milk for a coffee or two a day but not much more.
