800M shares to Liberty for the acquisition is a lot of shares which if Liberty dumps on the market then bloodbath to SP although any share allocation would have a lock-in period. As SONY is also interested so ITV cannot haggle much if they are serious in acquiring it. ITV has cash to fund the acquisition. Let's hope the deal does not allot many millions of shares to Liberty!

Pogo, I merely just shared my opinion in the hope that someone would provide more details and comment on how the deal would help ITV and how it would fund the acquisition.

Daniel, thanks for the Times article. It looks like ITV could propose stock options to Liberty instead of cash as part of the acquisition so although the deal could be $1bn+ worth, the actual cost that ITV pays could be much less than $1bn+ provided Liberty agrees to the stock options. If Liberty want cash instead of stock options then I think funding $1bn+ is a big ask for ITV in the current climate.

Adding debt at the current high interest rates is not a wise move IMO

It may be that additional debt is serviceable.

They have lot of content for streaming and adding content from All3M to ITV would not make much of a difference IMO or may be it does.

Market didn't seem to react negatively atleast to the news but neither doesn't see it as huge positive.

Good that price ended at a high. Hopefully all his talk is forgotten in the weekend and next week price goes higher as the earnings date get closer. Still 2 weeks to go I think for the earnings. Atleast $275 by then would be good.

Yes this certainly has legs now. Tomorrow if FED takes soft stand and hold the rates then can see Tesla reaching 270s and 280, which in old money is 910. Tesla went up to 1200 in old money that is $400. Bought back 5k worth at $254 and I think I will add more tomorrow if I get same price or lower.

CPI figures are good and is 4% YOY so I guess all growth stocks would pop and Tesla could start moving up now as we get close to earnings report. Placed an fill or kill order....don't think I will get $250 even but let's see.

FOMO is again kicking in me and that is what made me buy last time at the highs but I guess it is going towards $300 again. If the CPI report meets the expectations then surely fireworks across the pond and Tesla will jump big. Should I buy back what I took off last week? bloody hell so difficult to make decisions when you are lumping huge amounts...another £15k is a big amount for me on top of £10k already in. If the CPI figures are good then I will add as can see this going to $300 as earnings date approaches.

There is one dark cloud that will stay on RR for a long time which is the allegation by Indian govt about corruption by RR. I don't know if this dither big funds putting money into RR.

Regrettably sold £15k worth of shares at $247

I will buy back if it goes lower next week. It has been stressful last 8-9 months and need money as well.

I still got nearly £10k worth as of now so will let this run for however long it takes.

Main thing is that market is not seeing Tesla as overvalued now after Nvidia Mcap is several multiples than its AI/Chip peers! Also Ford and GM are nowhere near Tesla in EV race.

For the coming July update, Tesla could sour to $300 so I will certainly add on any weakness.

Wedbush raised target to $300 from $215! I might add today itself depending on how next few hours go.

Crocqman, good call! price could move to $250s easily but am just worried about next week due to the FED news. Market could dip and so is Tesla.

I'm not sure what to do right now. I will see how market opens up and then will take a decision.

Pre-market it is already more than 6% rise and don't think it can sustain that rise to the end of the day.

I think what is misunderstood is that if the prices remain under the threshold for 2 quarters then even if energy companies make profit they are only taxed at 40% instead of 75%. Now energy companies can make profits at $71 and 54ppthm if they increase their production. If HBR and others can now buy new licenses and make more investment in North Sea and increase their production then at $71, they still make good FCF with increased production and 40% tax.

This I think is a good move by the govt and good for the energy companies. Atleast the big funds will start moving their money back to oils as now there is a path for profits to be made without getting taxed at 75%?

I can take a hit of £1k at $245 considering the £13k profit I made previously on Tesla but could it have more legs to go to previous high of $300 and $400? Next week is FED decision so could drop.

I might reduce half of my holdings today at $245 I think.

I'm watching the SP closely and for any headwinds coming. Next week is FED decision on interest rates. I think FED may try to hold the rates and not increase it this time but don't know how it will be received. I think it is better to raise the rates by 0.25% so that the lid is tight enough on inflation to push it down further otherwise a pause in rate hike and then inflation climbing up later would be a disaster for the markets.

Tesla earning in July so many more weeks to go still. Just need some optimism for markets and for Tesla to keep it going.

It hit $230 but not many sellers and didn't go down much and I take that as positive but things change in flip of a coin so if we can hold above $225 today and tomorrow then definitely onwards to $240-$250 before the July earnings.

Tesla earnings on July 19th and we are already at $213! I guess we could see $240 atleast before the earnings.

With Nvidia Trillion mcap multiple times more than it's peers I guess market, skeptics should now not see Telsa Mcap too high? At $250 share price, Tesla Mcap would be $792bn so much less than the Trillion Mcap!

We just need one article out mentioning the above and we are going to see rapid rise to $250!

Nice bounce today with Nvidia pulling along the growth companies despite recession and debt ceiling news.

Regarding Nvidia, I have a very small amount there but a profit of £1500 is not too bad. I could have had more profit but sold few shares very early at $190 otherwise could have had good profit. I guess I will hold Nvidia for as long as AI boom runs.

Q3 update 20th July

I didn't sell instead bought some so next time when it goes to 530 it will be a good profit but may sell this pot if it drops to 520 from 530.

When are the summer results coming in?

EZJ said they will be in profit for this year. That means next update should reduce the loss from 400m to 100m or could be in profit by then? Summer bookings reflected in Q3 results?
