Tidal energy momentum builds with the latest re-deployment at MeyGen site



SAE is pleased to announce the latest turbine re-deployment at its MeyGen site. The successful re-deployment of the 1.5MW turbine is another critical step in returning the Phase 1 array to full power and demonstrating tidal technology at commercial scale.



With the latest turbine now back in the water, and the AR1500 re-deployed in March continuing to exceed expectations, SAE is confident that the MeyGen site will continue to break records for tidal generation. The site has already produced c.75% of the global tidal stream generation to date.



With 3 turbines now fully operational, SAE remains on schedule to re-deploy the final turbine in March 2023. The turbine is being retrofitted with a wet-mate connection system, which more than halves the cost of future operation and maintenance deployments.



SAE is focusing its efforts on the delivery of the next phase of the MeyGen project, 28MW of tidal power. This project is a world leader and will unlock the technology for large-scale, commercial deployment around the world. The site can deliver a 400MW green and predictable power station.

The expertise that the Company gained in the development of the Uskmouth conversion project has significant value and the opportunity to be applied to other coal conversion projects. SAE has a ready-made solution to address the increasing challenges relating to energy security, electricity price, and the continued need to find alternative low carbon solutions to coal. SAE has identified, a number of exciting coal conversion opportunities in Europe to which to apply the expertise it gained at Uskmouth. SAE will continue to explore these opportunities.

At the beginning of 2022 the business set three key priorities:



1. Win a Contract for Difference (CfD) to deliver further deployment of turbines at our MeyGen site.

2. Release value at the Uskmouth site by developing a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project.

3. Lay the foundations to take the lessons learnt from the Uskmouth conversion project to develop a pipeline of new opportunities.

The fourth turbine should have been operational be end of Mark 2023?

What the feck is going on.
Worrying and the crap that has been spouted on previous very minimal RNS should be investigated as lies to investors plain and simple.

How long as turbine 4 been out?
How long does it take to plan a replacement?

This is now my concern.
If we have 4 turbines of 6mw and it takes so long to replace them we are defo gonna struggle with another 19.

Take into account that the potential 23 turbines that will make up Meygen 1 and 2 will need maintaining.
The length of this is a cost drain on revenue for SAE.

Do they have any plans?
What are they?

Do they have a plan with ATES that addresses this?

Lots of questions with at the moment not a shread of plans from SAE?

Refer to other people's posts with words like simplistic.
