China is the largest oil and gas imported and its own production had fallen 15% since 2013 whilst usage has gone up 30%

Charts are useful for price action and seeing support and resistance.

An indicator that may touch a 50MA or break out of a bollinger band is always giving you historic data.
On heavily bought stocks then they may have some value but not on penny shares IMO.
Newsflow and fundamentals obliterates any fancy indicator setup in seconds. I should know as spent my first couple of years learning the hard way.
