Further to my post of 08.33 confirmation has been given in this tweet from the Leader of the House of Commons. https://twitter.com/CommonsLeader/status/1373931598861774858. It means that the Defence Review statement will not start until around 4.30pm. The start time will depend on how long the statement and questions from the FCDO lasts so realistically anytime from 4pm to 4.30. This means that there will be limited chance of anything being said will the markets are open.

Jabido In relation to your 08.40 post I got that from the London Stock Exchange website. The price dropped to 0.50 at about 8am.

Jabido In relation to your 08.25 I will confirm once I have checked the leader of the house of commons twitter feed at around 2pm in case there are other statements or urgent questions. If there are no other statements or urgent questions then 3.30pm would be the time for the statement. It would not surprise me if there is not some kind of question or statement in relation to the events in Bristol. This would have the effect of ensuring the Defence White Paper statement is after the close of trading.

Out of interest did you note that in early trade at around 7.30 the share price was up 2p I wonder if that is an indication of something.

Chitta123 In relation to your 09.35 post I am in partial agreement with you. I agree that the way that INFA have been increasing staff including in HR implies that they believe that contracts are imminent. As I understand it if a contract is signed and it is material then an RNS or other notification to the market should follow. When something is material is a bit subjective for instance when I asked on LinkedIn JW said a RNS in relation to the barge at Appledore was not going to be made as it is not material. However other people on the feed thought that the fact that it was the commencement of commercial operations at Appledore did warrant a RNS. As to why we have not had an announcement yet there are two possibilities. Firstly, it could be that the contracts signed so far are not deemed material and, therefore, do not need to be disclosed. That is assuming that there have been contracts. Secondly, the work that INFA is aware of relates to MOD work and is tied in to the Integrated Review and this has caused a delay so as not to preempt any statement in the House of Commons. Of course it could be both reasons.

I am not convinced about the importance of the Islandmagee project and the grant of the Marine License to the fortunes of INFA going forward.

LSE03 In relation to your 05.25 post in view of the task for this ship I am surprised that only 1 is being ordered. I would have thought that more than 1 would be needed. The other question is where it would be built. According to the article the ship is to enter service in 2024. That leaves three years for it to be built and have sea trials. ON that basis I would think you can rule out the Clyde due to capacity issues. Cammell Laird built the Sir Richard Attenborough but was two years late in completing it so may have blotted its copybook as far as time sensitive national security orders are concerned. There is, therefore, a good case for saying that H&W should get the work as they have the capacity.

Chrisatrdg In relation to your 15.04 post confirmed with Belfast Harbour website. It si due to move to BDD tomorrow and as Epsilon is not due to leave until Monday we will have two ships in Dry Dock for two days.

I note the Stena Transporter which NI Ferry had indicated would be coming into dry dock weekend just gone has not gone into dry dock. According to vesselfinder it has been docked in the Netherlands for the last four days.

Tango1 In relation to your 12.56 post I would be inclined to say NO. The reason being if they were to do that it could lead to further discussion and representations. It has to be remembered that the officials are only making a recommendation it is the Minister that will be making the decision so the views of the officials are not something that would need to be disclosed unless it is to invite further comment.

Loosegoose In relation to your 12.43 post if that is correct then it does not follow as a number of people have been implying that the decision will be by 31 March. It is possible that the recommendation will be given to the Minister at 4.30 on the 31 March and he would consider it days later.

Loosegoose In relation to your 11.53 post can you recall did DAERA say that they will make a recommendation to the Minister by the end of March or did they say that the Minister will make a decision by the end of March. All the posts have implied it is the latter but I thought it was the former. It is not a matter of semantics. With the former the Minister can take a couple of months to make a decision.

I see that all the trades showing as buys are either 25,000 or 50,000 but we have had no news all week so what is going on?
