The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
I dropped them a mail to find out when the service will start and got the following response:
Thank you for your enquiry. The current travel regulations stipulate that a Day 2 travel test must be PCR rather than LFT and Agile Life Sciences is awaiting onboarding by the UKHSA in order to start providing Day 2 PCR testing. The website will start to accept Day 2 PCR test orders once the onboarding process has been completed.
"Clearly the "significant " order, is not enough to stop a cash raise being needed by ABDX" . would avacta be placing a cash up front order or would they have standard 30/60/90 day payment terms on receipt of goods? cant see them giving abdx full payment for an order when production is not yet able to start. just speculating as only avacta and abbingdon will know for sure.
Reading through the government Covid Test desktop review rubbish
https://www.gov.uk/government/consultations/validation-of-covid-19-tests-laboratory-validation/validation-of-covid-19-tests-laboratory-validation
I see that they are introducing a secondary validation step to be introduced in December.
"The government proposes to make a second statutory instrument which will introduce mandatory laboratory validation, following desktop review for COVID-19 tests. We outline the government’s proposal below, including what laboratory validation would involve.
The new step of laboratory validation will add onto the existing desktop assessment and will be based on our experience to date of undertaking laboratory validation to inform use case and DHSC procurement decisions. This will mean when the legislation comes into force a coronavirus test device will need both a desktop validation approval and laboratory validation approval to access the UK market. At this point a test will need the following to enter the UK market:
a CE marking followed by
a validation approval following successfully passing desktop review followed by
a validation approval following successfully passing laboratory testing"
kicking the can down the road rather than supporting British Biotech. Fkin useless government.
