Don’t think I would read too much into the elsewhere. I can see the funds being used for more HH. He’s probably targeting HH partners but doesn’t want them to think that’s all he interested in as that would lift the price. Least I hope that’s the case and he’s doing it cause he knows it’s a blockbuster. Time will tell!

BB is a bad example IMO. They know what went wrong and it can be recoridoed. They started there because it’s 100% owned. Had it gone our way we wouldn’t be in this 1p panning doldrums that’s for sure

Indeed. For him this is about continuing even defining his good name in oil exploration. With his track record I honestly don’t see him dedicating the latter years of his career on a dud for money he probably doesn’t need. I just do t see it. Hold tight!

The companies that have offloaded are nothing more than investment companies. They are not as close to or have the expertise SS has. Nor are any potential competitors as close to the action. Indeed that’s the entire point buy before the world knows!

that's was my initial thoughts but with previous placings he explicitly stated the fund would be for opportunities within the weald licences. this time he's opened it up to opportunities word wide. I wouldn't be disappointed if it was for HH would just be further assurance that we are still in a good place with planning / CRP etc. people slate the tanker spotters but its a daily reminder of the potential of HH as well as a solid income.

Like your thinking burningspear. I'm not sure about exceeding "wildest imagination" but the buying up of as much as he can cheap before prices become prohibitive or at least vastly inflated from where they are now definitely fits what we have seen to date. I'm pretty sure SS has expressed interest in expanding overseas before but would appreciate any reference to this? Why wouldn't he's had hits all over the world! I guess people questioning his motives would do well to remember that!

Well the trade wasn’t actually outside hours it was just reported late. The trade price of 6p can be trusted but what can’t be trusted is whether it was a buy or sell as its red or blue based on the mid price at time of reporting I.e. the closing price. But we all know that right!

Not sure everyone disagrees. Seems the market is cautious for the same reason you are. It would be very normal to have contingency before operations start. In case of something going wrong could be difficult to raise afterwards. I’m cautious here I will look to add after tomorrow’s AGM.

So not catastrophic for the s.p. I just hope whatever the money is for can provide a “step change” in growth for UKOG. It’s time to give something back to the shareholders!

Agree Geo. there as been at least 3 previous placings at these levels followed by ample opportunity to at least double yr money a short time later. I can’t see this time being any different given what’s on the horizon. My only issue is people like you who have sat out all the stress and can come in rock bottom. I do hope it goes well for us both mind ??!

Not sure now is a good time to jump UKOG. The Placing damage is done. Should go north when SS announces what it’s for! and drill at HH start. No point in selling at a loss there . Now let’s hope angs can get Brockham flowing big numbers!

I do think that SS has true ambition for UKOG and unlike may AIM shares does not see UKOG as just something to support his and his cronies lifestyles. The problem at the moment is the shareholders feels dismissed and isolated. Their has to be some balance between spending your shareholder hard earned cash on expansion and providing shareholder value! I just hope that his ambition is realised for the sake of the shareholders.

It’s a fair point DHC. Whatever he has planned best give us a step change In growth! This share now really needs is the crack on wtb the further HH and issue a CPR

As per the RNS, the drills are funded and this is for acquisitions. He clearly does not see adding shares as dilution when the share holders are gaining assets. As painful as this is for us all, that’s technically correct.

To find out what the funds are for. With More recent placings we have found out very soon after. I dot believe this is just “collecting money” not at these levels it’s not! My guess is we will have committed to buying more of HH by the end of next week. As annoying as this placing is to current share holders me included. I believe the conisistent buying up of ever increased stakes in HH is a key stategy and one that will eventually see us quids in. Last year filling a placing at similar levels this jumped to 2.7p within weeks! On that occasion I did quite well! Here’s hoping!

Agree pboo this is sxxt having already loaded up but it’s cleae SS is trying to build something big here. I will be very disgruntled if it is just drilling costs here would beg the question where as the rest of the money gone. I think it prob a higher stake in HH
