I think anyone who watched, or watches, the meeting in full, will without any doubt come to the conclusion that some of those who were against approval had made their minds up before even going into the meeting. In my opinion their decisions were based on selfish reasons i.e. to appease the local electorate or due to the fact that the development would be just too close to home.

I doubt Dr. Nodding Donkey (Povey) realised that his body language gave so much away - immediately nodding in favour of anyone putting across negatives towards approval and visa vera - so so obviously open minded NOT.

He's proved in the past that he's a bigot ("a person who is obstinately or unreasonably attached to a belief, opinion, or faction, especially one who is prejudiced against or antagonistic towards a person or people on the basis of their membership of a particular group - or in this case UKOG.)

In 2011 ......................................

And, OMG did I laugh when I read his response .........

Well he's certainly not worrying about SCC 's financial situation now is he, even after the Chairman and SCC's lawyer advised that a non approval may cost the council a huge amount of money.

That's what this guy is saying and also if they go for non approval then UKOG will have a great chance of winning an appeal ;-)

All the objections have been addressed by the planning officers etc.

He guiding them to pass this - you can hear it in his voice ;-)
