After the establishment of a scientific council, to help manage the health crisis linked to the Covid-19 pandemic, the government created the Research and Expert Analysis Committee (Care), in order to make progress on diagnoses and treatments for this coronavirus.

Composed of 12 researchers and doctors - 5 women and 7 men - this research committee is chaired by Françoise Barré-Sinoussi, virologist at the Pasteur Institute, 2008 Nobel Prize in medicine, recognized for her work on the AIDS virus.

She will be accompanied in particular by Sylviane Muller, researcher in immunology and therapeutic chemistry on the Strasbourg university campus. Specialist in autoimmune diseases, she is known to be at the origin of a promising treatment currently in clinical study against lupus. The possibility of treating Covid-19 based on chloroquine or one of its derivatives is mentioned and is being analyzed, these compounds being already used for the treatment of several auto-immune diseases of the lupus type.

In fact, I would have thought that the placing of 637,500,000 shares at a price of 0.2p would have more likely been the catalyst for the sp collapse. However it's held up extremely well, and on the day the placing was announced the sp dropped to a low of 0.23p (or 15% above the placing price), which in itself is quite unusual. I believe good news is around the corner - but hey ho that's just an assumption ;-)
