I'm genuinely surprised that former critics of Matad are persuaded by MBs presentation.

Whichever side you may be on at this moment of time, it does not take away the fact that MB have lied in the past, and on more than one occasion.

The fact remains that there has been no progress on H1, H2 and Gobi.

We are receiving a promise from MB that things will change for the better in the future. Yes, things investors would like to hear, like ramping up production, boosting revenue, and farm out etc

Reality is none of that has happened yet, or will it ever.

People seem to forget quickly of how the SP has deteriorated from 38p to now sub 1p...

MBs tone and his positive outlook means nothing in my opinion. The dude was positive when he drilled those dusters a few years back.

I would caution anyone to trust him. Remember, he should be delivering concrete results and progress, not just lovely words.

It has been months and H1 production rate hasn't been improved. In fact it has further dropped.

Have not rectify H2 and tax issue remains unresolved.

Again it's been dry talking and no actions. Certainly appalling from a results driven perspective.

How can anyone trust what the CEO says anymore when he constantly makes empty promises...

Today's presentation is more or less the same. No remedying existing issues. More talks about ideal future plans...

I doubt MBs plan to self support future operational programmes will work when H1 revenue continues to descend to new lows.

He'll need lots more cash to feed into the renewable energy and Borzon.

How the F are you trying to promote this as good news? For one, H2 can only produce about 30bopd. Secondly, how can you guarantee the winter limitations would not affect other/future wells.

Abzzba, MB have stated there is no evidence of malice from Petro China. In fact, they are very cooperative.

It does beg the question if Petro China are cooperative, then why is there not a JV deal...

Whichever way you look at it, it's not good for Matad whether the hold up is on Petro China, or just Matad being incompetent

When asked about funding, MB says they will use revenue for the renewable energy project (implying that they have sufficient capital to inject into this exciting project) but then he contradicts himself by saying they are willing to take a 70% pay cut to sustain spending.

So do they have sufficient cash or not?

The fact that H1 continues to drop is worrying, from 821bopd to now 150bopd....

The renewable energy project is at the earliest 2030 as I read it....that's a long time away from any potential revenue on that one...
