The demand for gold is rising as China, Russia and many emerging countries are buying up gold and have been doing so for a while now.

The price per ounce has had a small dip but is still predicted to rise to £3000 per ounce by the end of 2025.

Many large gold mining companies share prices are rising so MTL and other smaller producers should follow the trend.

It seems that many Countries are wanting their gold held at the Bank of England and the American Depositary at Fort Knox sent to them and are handing back their notes of ownership.

Some Companies that also have gold held are reporting that there are delays in the gold transfers to others and with many Countries buying up gold this is pushing the price upwards and they cannot see an end to it.

Large gold producers have seen their shares rise a lot but one should hope that MTL follows that trend.

Price of gold has just hit £2300, highest price ever and shows no sign of the rise stopping .

It was reported the other day that Central Banks around the world purchased 97 Billion worth of gold last year.

I have investments in gold funds in my ISAs which in the last week made 8% and since Jan 1st 18%

Am hoping MTL go the same way

Looking at the present price of MTL i am now glad that i sold my Condor shares a couple of days before the buy out and able to now decide if to buy MTL shares at a cheaper price.

I know i did not get a piece of paper re getting MTL shares some time in the future but at my age i do not want to wait years for a share issue.

I will see if the price drops anymore then decide if to buy or invest in other options i am looking at.

Fidelity sold all Condor stock at 31.765 pence so a small profit for a punt that could have returned more if there was a bidding war, but then thats the gamble you take with AIM stocks.

Same with HSBC Turkey, multiple ups and downs giving returns of over 100% gains made.

Some no nothing about certain markets.

Bought Condor back in April and even though i am making a profit the % growth could have been better.

There will be more selling before the 13th from all the ISA companies as they cannot hold a Note re future payout, as per the takeover deal.

For those who want MTL stock and can hold a note re future payment good luck but MTL is not for me as i am making much higher profits from stocks in Turkey and India

Would anybody please explain why people are buying very low quantities ie 1 to 100 shares when the share buying charge is about £7 be it for 1 or 1,000,000

Lets have an investment in this with some of the profit from Darktrace

Payment due on Oct 15th for each Darktrace share £5.92 app

Luckily bought whole holding at £4.77 on March 14th 2024 so anything £6.00 plus will be a good profit

Very good couple of days increases, just need small amount more to be in profit on 160,000

Yet again 3 or 4 of the transactions shown as sell are actually a buy, those showing a price of 1.16

Future looks ok, enough to buy some to reduce overall buying price
