I cannot get over the misunderstanding about ezj customer base. It’s the European bus service.
If easy manages to branch out into all inclusive holidays and makes a profit…great.
In meantime let’s stick to reasonable prices/full planes/good routes.
And let’s remember you are as likely to be sitting next to a skint student or a very rich person…this is the beauty of Easyjet.

Just wait for all inevitable bad travel news to come out and then all will be good again.

Nobody panic….anyone who’s booked will go anyway. My kids are all away atm - one in BA partying. Also friends’ kids. They all got good jobs and any household savings are not affecting their holiday budgets. This also applies to beautician/hairdresser/plumber etc…The desire to leave the miserable uk….any amount of rail strikes/border staff strikes will not stop them.

So a lot of airlines/travel companies refinanced to stay afloat. It will take years for SPs to recover to pre covid levels.
On the positive I think anyone who got a booster has travelled this quarter so am expecting good figures and the younger people will just fly fly fly whenever they can.

The next covid wave (never mind flu/colds/strep A) is well underway …..google Zoe covid data….whilst this will not impact travel much it will impact the economy with now almost 2.6m symptomatic cases mostly in working age group. There is a very strong argument for boosting all age groups to keep economy going.

I am doubting Jan to March will be great for industry as a whole but OK for EZJ because they have such a mixed customer base.

Load factors are important. On a recent flight with Tui to Cape Verde the return flight had 56 spare seats out of 189 capacity. Really not great to be 70% loaded.

Think EZJ has the right mix of prices and routes and is very nimble. Unfortunate Jo took such a huge salary in PR terms.
Although I dumped trading position early yesterday(more luck than judgement!) I’m absolutely going to buy my bits back as soon as. I also believe it’s possible wizz and ezj would be a good fit…a merger not a takeover. We could finally get a rationalised European airline and put the loathed Ryanair back in its box.

I hope this is not a ramp/deramp - just opinion :)
