I bought a company whose vision was to draw the blockbuster parallel. Build a decent Website. Rent the dvds until dvds are replaced. It also happened to be ethical. I'm out of BP because they've changed their vision.

I'm one of those wishy washy investors. Bought in because I believed BP and genuinely thought it didn't want to go the way of blockbuster. Economically it would make sense to fish all the fish out of the sea, but I want to leave something to my kids. I genuinely thought in a decade BP were positioning themselves to be a market leader in the new world. I'm out.

I agree popular opinion is evil banks and carsalesmen don't deserve payment. But reality is customers were told exactly what they'd get and what they'd pay. If the supreme Court don't over rule this as was done with overdrafts then risk lawyers saying every contract in the land is invalid because people don't like reading them.

Of course salesmen are paid to sell loans. They don't volunteer. They are paid and deserve to be paid.

I want to get my head round compensation. Please explain.

Car salesman get paid by loan companies for selling loans. Customer is not aware of the payment. Therefore customers deserve compensation?

I just don't get it. Every time I buy a car the salesman offers a loan. I assume they get paid by the loan company. I don't care how much. I only care about how much I need to pay as the customer.

Why is compensation being paid?

I'm glad they've released this.

I'm glad the company is growing in a maturing market. China's outlook growth may be bad, but the individuals within China need to start using insurance and asset management and Pru is placed to benefit.
