I watched a video last night with analysts saying that China can only afford to play this rare earth export controls card once, as countries will now be making plans to ensure it doesn’t happen again in the medium to long term. So according to them, they don’t expect China to relax its export controls any time soon as it’s the only chance they’ve got. It's certainly bullish analysis for both Lancaster Explorations and HyProMag.

I remember in that video he emphasises there is a minimum but implies in a very *nudge nudge, wink wink* way that it's going to be higher. By how much we don't know, but since that announcement the environment has only got better for ex-China rare earths producers. I remain cautiously optimistic.

I have no idea how you found that but it's certainly interesting.

The key line for us is the very last one of the piece:

This is exactly the kind of thing we as shareholders of MKA want to see. Companies were building up stockpiles in anticipation of the trade controls which will now be dwindling and the supply lines are starting to be affected. That's when people will really start to notice what we've been expecting for a while!

I wondered whether we'd just missed the boat with the SPAC timing but maybe not.

Rare earth security is now a key part of Australia's election campaigns. Whatever happens in the short term with Trump, China and tariffs, I think we all know the cat is out of the bag regarding REEs.

These videos should have better titles optimised to capture views from the right people. Right now with titles like it currently has it's not going to break out beyond people like us who already have a vested interest.
