I wonder if one outcome that is a middle ground for MKA holders is a buyout of HyProMag USA only. That would give us some decent cash to expand, allow us to keep the patented tech, and prove to the rest of the world that there is big interest for the tech. I'm not sure what a fair fee for that would be but it would have to start by covering all of Cotec's investments for a start and build from there.

BBC World Business Report had a segment today on China's rare earths and the devastating effects on the local environment from mining them (environmental destruction and surges in cancer cases a few of the lowlights).

It's nice to know what we're supporting here is extremely beneficial for the environment as well as our wallets!

Thanks for the explanation @GLR1990. Yeah I definitely don't want a low ball offer getting accepted and I think the BOD as major shareholders who understand the value of their products won't take anything anywhere near current value anyway.

I would imagine they feel a duty of care to the Uni of Birmingham too, to make sure they fully realise the immense power of HyProMag and not palm it off at a massive discount to some mega corporation.

Excuse me as I'm pretty new to this game. If a company attempts a takeover (seems pretty likely at current MC), and management choose to reject it, that would then be made public knowledge in an RNS, is that right? And the cash value of the proposed takeover too?

I only started my investment journey in November last year but I'm happy I just caught what is hopefully the tail of a massive leap upwards in the coming months and years (and maybe days!). In any case I wouldn't base anyone's business case on the website, rather on the knowledge that Mkango has world class assets of various categories, and that value will be realised and acknowledged soon enough.

I wonder if it would make sense to list HyProMag USA on its own. This gives it the US-centric focus that we know fits the mood of this election cycle, while giving the OG HyProMag team chance to build up the business in the rest of the world before throwing that on NASDAQ as a separate entity.
