What I was showing was how gold and crypto have moved up in tandem- debunking the old myth that people pile out crypto and into gold and vice versa … completely different investment profile in most cases

No- as i’ve said many times on this portfolio- I like to maintain balance and my crypto portfolio remains my smallest level of investment as the highest risk, next highest risk is miners (cey i trade). Will just keep the crypto as it could go to zip, but it could also go very high… my investments move from here to more stable, lower risks stocks, then property in my view the lowest.

My crypto portfolio is up just over 50% since the lows of Aug2022... main one before XRP for obvious reasons, but others not far behind. Interesting times... what interesting is that Gold was @about 1695USD at the time so an approx 270USD increase during the same timeframe...

It’s all about inflation play for miners- when the top and drop stuttered into top, top etc and now hopefully drop, this is reflected in most miner’s SP (reflected in CEY price all to clearly from Jan high). Need some decent inflation drop news - like i’ve said consistently, there is no banking crisis but separate events - this is now being mostly stated in the press too- gold rose a lot on the back of a non- crisis. Had the banking issues not been there, gold would have dropped a lot on probably a 50bps FED last time(bank issues got us 25bps and more dovish tones). Next inflation read in US will be key - a drop that accelerates will be very good

Alas this is why all the posts showing “fair value price is…. if we mine this… and gold price is…. divi should be…. and SP should be….”- never works this way -

Ooops, got that wrong- odd though that yet again, and right from the off, CEY falls twice as much as others …

Barrick and Newmont recovering well towards the US close, so hopefully we'll see a rise first thing if gold at least hold overnight- plus US markets up and FTSE futures up at the moment.

The banks are going well as the sector but the Dow overall is hardly surging unless you call 0.4% a surge…

Back to CEY- good time to trade I think as CEY has dropped roughly twice as much today as FRES, BARRICK, Newmont and co.... bizarre...

UK NHS has been "on it's knees" for the last 30 years, every day I hear "doctors leaving in droves", "nurses leaving in droves" , this has been the same for 30 years- how are there any docs or nurses left if they've been leaving in droves for 30years lol- lot of moaners- the TV docs need to get off TV and stop whining and do some work- it's a service we pay for! I went to a BUPA annual check a few years ago, and told them of my 12hour days, 4 hour commute, occasional weekend work- the doc said it's crazy and I should complain- I said I get paid well and if I moaned I'd be sacked- to which she said- they can't do that- I said they can and I'll only about £50k if I'm successful on unfair dismissal! These docs with their massive, massive pensions need to get into the real, private world- and why is it I can't see a consultant for weeks but if I pay for him privately I can see him next week, (and he's been NHS trained)? Bonkers... RANT OVER!

These issues will always be debated- back to CEY- poor today, very poor

they are restricted around financial info and “known” major things like take over, but cuts both ways eg known major things that send the sp higher or lower

Back from golf, and the markets are far more like I expected, phew! Just took a bit longer than I thought today lol- damn the Yellen though, she caused the drop last night and good to see a ping back- guess it just gave traders a good excuse to trade- she's a bit bitter if you ask me :-).

Nice overnight recovery from yesterday evenings US close on the markets and gold - long may it continue

and consistent, then YELLEN!

Which is exactly what I said- it's not by magic is al based on the Powell says, how he says it and the analysts and markets receive it- so to repeat however, "things can change when he speaks, which is in about 10mins...". Gold only moves for a reason- it's as simple as that

So far so good- POG @1963 and S&P @4031.... on the expected 25bps and surrounding statements which are taken as dovish- however, things can change when he speaks, which is in about 20mins...
