Yep- gold price is lower than 3 years ago, the bond yields are massively higher, and due to inflation the costs of mining are massively higher.

No wonder the SP is suffering like the whole sector.

Basic economics- when your costs rise much much much more than the value of the product you are selling.

Why would they when they get continually paid great salaries and bonuses irrespective of comp at performance? They clearly invest elsewhere…

Stocks dropping last few days and gold dropping with it.

Like I keep saying, sticks dropping and the common rationale for it not good for gold and certainly not good for cey- again recent events proving my point … again…

Am guessing the extra waste costs drop off before the hedge hedge does and the hedge removed the risk, which will be much lower once done

SP continued to drop as gold dropped under the gold hedge- however, of course, the hedge amount will be reflected in to actual figures which is good.

Will be interesting to see what happens for the duration of hedge if gold continues to drop and of course, not so interesting if gold remains below, esp if significantly lower, when the hedge runs out…

Work within the system Tony- I never claim to like the system but I really don’t care as I can’t change it so I learn it, accept it to make money within in it.

You , Mr T, act like someone who is new to centamin- those who’ve traded for many years know and have seen the demonstrable evidence that RNS and economic data are the only plays in town ( and before you incorrectly interpret my post, it’s economic data that impact gold)

And to add Tony, no SP EVER works by simple statements like ... in the past when the SP was "nnn", gold was "nnnn", inflation was "nn" and so on- you should have figures this out by now.

Centamin, along with ALL other STOCKS and investments have to compete against one another for investment to mention one simple thing- it's like a department in a business saying "we can turn £1m into "£2m" in 6months, and wondering why they are ignored. They will be ignored when other potential changes in that same busniess yield far more with less risk.

my argument makes complete sense if you read my posts correctly. Do you not understand that inflation reducing is still prices increasing, albeit at a lesser rate? (I've mentioned deflation before but not recently).

I am saying that the drop from 220 at the highs around 3years ago is NOT just to do with the wall (which Mr T constantly bangs on about) and would be sub £2 now even without that due to inflation etc.

They all are and each have their own issues, CEY is no different.

SP's on UK exchanges over recent(ish) timeframes. To say the impact of usual influences of inflation etc is completely false. Bear in mind in the below I've not included dividends, which are significant for CEY.

CEY - a) 0% (flat) in 1 year b) -16% in 5years c) -60% since peak in 2020

FRES - a) -21% in 1 year b) -32% in 5years c) -57% since peak in 2020

HOCHS - a) +47% in 1 year b) -46% in 5years c) -71% since peak in 2020

SRB - a) 0% (flat) in 1 year b) -54% in 5years c) -76% since peak in 2020

Some other influences? These are the main one as proven all the time.

There are more traders on here than you think Mr T- they just spend their time posting all the time.

Many read it for the views on the key SP movers- eg the economic indicators and RNS comments.

Looks like I hit a nerve with Cowchain, and it was supposed to.

Nothing he posts impact the SP, many of us are traders and not holders, he is neither, and he cannot abide any form of comment or anyone who would dare critic his posts.

His scattergun approach is yet to provide anything to impact the SP.

Economic indicators and company RNS info, of course do, and have consistently provided the necessary SP movements and not his scattergun specutlation.

And no one on this forum knows…
