Yep- it's timing- Buffett gets it's wrong too- he stacked up on gold at the peak in 2020 which was well publicised at the time.

Yes Razor- hence my post on all others. Take out the Oct2020 and it's not been that bad relatively speaking.

All PMs remain unloved at the moment- strange they are all suffering with what is, a great gold price.

All stocks crash when markets do. All evidence points this way- also all PMs suffering at mo- fortunately my main pension is managed by others- and has risen 60% since it dropped 28% from the COVID drop week in March2020. Had I listened to many the "analysts/experts" since the COVID crash in March2020 and liquidated to prevent further damage, who since have said at various times markets will drop further, I'd been jumping of a very tall building now.
Rates remain so low, and we have had and will continue to have, a "K" shaped recovery- this points where to invest- people make zip outside of equities.
I've some here outside of my main pension and done well over the years on CEY- which has pretty much performed in line with other PMs , if you take out the hit in the Oct2020 due to the mine issue.

Sotolo, the same experts last year were touting gold over USD2,500 as it rose this time last year, and were lauding Warren Buffet for being a genius for going back in... no one knows...

Gold movement sometimes at 13:30- 700k est. A miss it generally goes up, and vice versa.

Depends where you live- but just happy I bought my detached house 26years ago! 600% gain not to sniffed at and no mortgage and we all have to live somewhere :-). Would hate to have to find the rent for it, if wasn't mine!!!

On a practical level on Brexit- I raced motorbikes on track for years, last year coaching others in spare time. I had to buy some part for turning a race bike to road spec- was shocked when, after ordering a ~£220 part from BMW Motorrad Germany, to get a ~£52 charge from DHL before they'd release it :-(. Friends have seen massive delays in part and clothing from Europe, not sure how much is BREXIT and how much is COVID with people understandably frightened of holding stock and manufacturers pulling back on production as a result. Also, my twice a year 5day trips to Spain with my racebikes- damn CARNETS now required due to BREXIT and not cheap! Oh well, won't stop me riding, but annoying nonetheless
