My money is on an RNS of some description or another before the 28th of this month. Even if only to lessen any panic if Seadrill don't say anything about contracts for rigs in the GOM. They release a fleet update at the end of this month. It would be great to see one of theirs contracted out for a few weeks to BPC. Either way I think something will be out this week. Fingers crossed, keep your nerve boys and girls.

Totally agree, but at the very least we might not see the name of BPC but they do owe it to their own shareholders to keep them updated on what rigs are doing what, we should also put a few rumours to bed over which rig it may or may not be if we see Western Saturn contracted out. If you think about it, it's the only one within a reasonable distance of the drill site that is available and could potentially get there to be able to drill in April as we have been told. Good point Bonum but at the same time Seadrill have issued their quarterly reports on the dot going back several years. Their next one is due out the end of this month which hopefully will show that a contract has been signed between the two parties. Personally speaking I find the timescale very tight if nothing has been signed, and if something has been agreed, Seadrill are on the money when it comes to updating their shareholders. I think we're all aware that agreeing terms and heads of agreement are all well and good on a handshake, but until that signature is signed who knows, I'm guessing we will see something soon even if it's only to quell speculation as to why a contract might not have been signed. Best of luck to everyone involved though because if it comes good there will be a lot of smiley faces.

28th February and seeing that the Western Saturn has been contracted out to BPC. Despite all the good intentions in the world to drill in April, I honestly can't see it happening unless there is a contract signed by the end of this month. Let's just hope that Seadrill don't get a better offer for the rig and sign it away to another operator between now and then. Fingers crossed that we haven't been told any misleading information regarding what's meant to be going on behind the scenes with Seadrill and drilling in April but all will be revealed in the next 10 days. Hopefully all will be revealed before the end of the month.

Totally agree on the Q1 timescale, head says no, heart still holding out hope. If it is Seadrill and if a contract has been signed, Seadrill will name the rig by the end of this month, or BPC will release an RNS. If there's nothing about BPC in the Seadrill fleet update statement (end of Feb) BPC need to be on the money with their RNS news, not seeing a contract agreed will really knock confidence in them being able to deliver on the timescales they have given. Fingers crossed for a decent honest RNS in the next week.

Totally agree, the writing was there for all to see, we were led to believe Q1 April now the goal has been moved to first half of 2020. Not sure who writes BPC RNS announcements but there's room for improvement. Fingers still crossed that at the very least if they aren't factually correct, that they are regular. We should so much more in a couple of weeks time if anything has been signed with Seadrill. If BPC are using one of their rigs they will be providing an update to their shareholders on contracts and future contracts that have been agreed. Hopefully we will see something then, if not I very much doubt anything will happen in April.

Happy to be corrected but I thought we were drilling in March/April and which would be the first quarter and now we are drilling according to the RNS in the first half of 2020 which could be June? Or is the RNS just a play on words.

It would be great to read an rns that confirms that signed agreements are in place, especially for the rig. Fingers crossed we will get something soon enough.

Seadrill produce their update at the end of this month. You would expect with the timeframe to drill that a contract would be signed and the name of the rig would be known. If BPC aren't on their list I can't see how they can be drilling anything end March/April. We need to see the name of the rig, BPC as the client, length of contract ECT Best of luck to all still in.

I hope the Seadrill Q4 Fleet Status Report is informative at the end of February. If BPC are going to come good on proposed time frames then we should know from Seadrill that a contract has been signed and which vessel it will be. Stand to be corrected but I haven't seen an RNS specifically stating a contract has been signed yet.

Hopefully we will get one prior to the Seadrill fleet report. If there isn't an update from BPC BOD regarding drill dates and contract with Seadrill, I hope we don't find out via the Seadrill report that nothing has been agreed. Seadrill appear to be quite good with their quarterly reports so fingers crossed we see an rns or a contract with BPC come end of Feb.

Seadrill will provide a full fleet update last week in February as per the last few years with rig details, contract value, client and position. We can all but guess which rig it will be from those in the GOM doing nothing at the moment. Don't forget these things don't move fast so if this is going to play March/April/May they need to start moving do they not. Fingers crossed and good luck to all holding on.

I agree but hold out hope. I've been looking into where many of the Seadrill rigs/ships are currently sitting along with the ones that would be available to get to the site and start drilling within the suggested timeframe from the press statements. There are some available but the majority in the GOM are contracted out. I guess we will know the score with Seadrill in about 6 weeks time when they publish their fleet status along with any new drilling contracts. Hopefully all is above board, but if there is no RNS then information will be available from the Seadrill fleet update. Fingers crossed.

Quick question from a newbie. Does anybody ever look at the quarterly Seadrill Fleet Status information? I believe their next status update is at the end of February as has been the case for many years.
Stand to be corrected but if BPC desire to drill late Q1, should we be seeing some info about a rig being available with a BPC contract next to it come the end of February? Just a thought.
