You seem to be missing all the promises made and promises not kept. Once the golden share has gone he won't be able to get away with that any longer.

Unless he finds a way out of that promise too.

Personally I think the loss of the golden share is the next catalyst. This takes away Mouldings comfort blanket and he might finally show some interest in creating value for shareholders.

We are all waiting for a catalyst that never arrives.

That kind of answered why you are optimistic. If you have bought low then go you. If you had bought high, hearing all the same optimistic talk that is talked about on here, your optimism wouldn't be as strong.

Take a number, let's say 230p, which this was, at the start of 2022. Now here it sits at 60p. And then you remember the posters saying "Don't watch the daily candles, this is going to the moon", as it fell down daily.

Then you remember the promises made by Moulding "Beauty division to be spun out at the start of 2022, premium listing in 2022, golden share going", and none of it happened. Not to mention the targets missed constantly, but that doesn't stop him dishing shares out to his staff like confetti.

Then you read the rumours "Alibaba coming in, Boots coming in, Qatar doing an MBO" and none of it happened.

And you still cannot see why people have become pessimistic ?

Always be very wary of "Rumours" Ste2000. You should know that by now

The short covering was happening in the USA. Look at how much the meme stocks have gone up since the start of the year and how the NASDAQ has bounced. That isn't guaranteed to continue.

And as one of the Steve's pointed out, shorts in THG increased during this same period.
