The sip option is good but IMO an isa is better.

Example £20000 into a sipp tax man adds on tax relief at basic rate so becomes £25000.

Invested in shares at 25p which then 10 bag so £250000.

If you wanted it all out £50000 tax free and rest at basic and high rate approx £70000 tax.

So £180,000 return.

Isa £20000 invested in same share is £200000.

Although you can reduce tax payable by spreading the sipp withdrawals over a few years imo if you are at the age maybe wanting to move house that extra £20000 and straight away has to be a no brainer for me. Of course you could always reinvest the £20000 in a sipp if you wanted to.

That is the great thing about stocks and shares isa’s there is no upper limit on tax free gains.

The only downer is when you are not making any money but they still want the fees.

If we go to £1 quite a few of us will be very happy with the tax free status.

I also have some in a sip, although I’d prefer it in the isa.

I thought they had tens of millions.

Many years ago all losses could be carried back as far as they would clear earlier profits and get any tax paid repaid.

The rules were changed as companies were buying up shell companies just to utilise losses for themselves.

Now only a one year carry back although changed to three years temporarily.

Figure scirocco are using should in effect be the last three years losses.

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

To be honest I don’t blame you.

I think a lot of the past holders have long gone here.

Just what are the board up to.

We moan about nr but without his past investments they would have had no money.

Ruvuma is still there but I can see nothing happening for years.

The licence expired at the end of April and nothing further has been heard.

At least I am clawing back some of my past losses here.

Can’t believe we are still waiting on the deal on Ruvuma etc.

Hope it comes good for anyone still holding.

I lost maybe at least £50k or more here so glad to be out of it.

Average about 10p so not prepared to wait 20 years or more for a profit.

Would need all the major shareholders to vote against them.

The annoying bit is that have vast experience between them but they have done basically nothing in six years except made an investment which they have decided to write off half its value.

The money will 4un out in the next six months if I calculate it right.

The accounts will be published by the end of September.

The nxt tec business is fundamentally very strong and I am expecting an ipo sooner than later.

This should value our investment at about a million pounds.

I think the only thing we can realistically do is wait.

Look at the nxt tec website, they’re are many multi million dollar projects on the go.

I think things will happen here soon, it’s just the waiting is the frustrating bit.

All our drilling should have been completed and tested by then.
