As I explained earlier, It would depend on the reason. However, we are currently at a huge discount compared to the value of the shares once the finance is secured. You are accepting risk in exchange for that discount and personally I believe the size of the risk is less than the value of the discount. I may be wrong in that calculation, but you have to make your own decisions.

However, once you accept that balance of value vs risk and buy the shares, you can't then complain about Harry if things go off the rails. You knew the risks up front and bought the shares anyway..

@Smellyben. You aren't 'powerless'. You have the choice to sell the shares and invest somewhere else. If you are at the point where you want to oust the CEO on any finance delay, even if any such theoretical delay is not within his power to prevent, then just invest in a different stock. That is a lot easier than organising some 'forlorn hope' private investor group.

Maybe you could research how often a group of private investors (not investment companies) have successfully ousted a CEO without support from major shareholders. If this does fail and Harry is to blame, then it won't be you or me that Harry is worried about :)

For now, why not just relax and see what happens. The signs are good. so there is no point stressing out over something you can't control or influence.

It has been very interesting watching the battles around 2p. What I can't understand is why an unknown party is trying to keep the price down to 2p. If they could sell 5m shares, then why sell them all at 2p when they could get a higher price by selling in smaller groups.

It's almost like two different parties are fighting for control of the ask and the 5m is a statement of intent (like the driver in a game of chicken throwing the steering wheel out of the car) :)

I'm not sure why you find that statement so troubling, HAA is simply telling the truth. He does not have control over everything and therefore cannot guarantee every piece of paper will be signed. That is true of every business deal, not just this one. When you have dependencies on external factors, things sometimes go wrong over which you have no influence.

I am fairly sure Harry didn't cause COVID or the insurrection in Tigray, yet people still blame him for the resulting delays in 2020. If someone at one of the parties involved in the deal doesn't fill in the paperwork correctly, it will cause a delay and there is zero that Harry can do to prevent that.

He has given March as the best estimate he has based on the information available. If that changes, then we can evaluate the reasons why and make decisions accordingly. If you want investing with minimal risk, then don't invest in Africa. In the meantime, Harry is trying to assemble a complex deal for multiples of the current company value, in Africa in the middle of a pandemic. Give the guy a break!

We haven't had a bushranger drilling update at 7am since the announcement that drilling had begun on December 16th. Since then the earliest was at 9.39am (12th Jan) and the latest at 2.41pm (12th Feb).

It was from January 20th, not February 20th, so it is talking about hole #1. The share price did fall the day after the spike, but the rest appears to be a misinterpretation of the RNS. Probably written by a computer.

Given the positive signs recently, a month before finance is probably not the best time to start speculating about replacing the CEO. Just wait to see what happens and then you can make decisions with full information.

When people start attacking the CEO personally, instead of raising evidence-based concerns about the company, its business plan or even the details of an RNS, it is often just a de-ramp.

Because the 'market' isn't counting days since the last RNS and calculating likely drill interceptions. Most investors will just react to the RNS when it arrives.

The weird thing is that when I read that, I can hear it in CB's voice :)

If you have been watching the trades this week, it has been the opposite of sitting and waiting. It's been the battle of 2P hill!

Both sides have retreated to their trenches today for a breather, probably due to the high casualties yesterday when it was machineguns at ten paces :)

re RMM: It does have huge long-term potential, but 40% of the current shares were raised in placings since December 8th including a another large raise earlier this week. I think there will be a lot of selling pressure in the short to medium term, but it does look like a very good long-term prospect. Buying now probably doesn't have much immediate downside, except the opportunity cost of missing out on stocks with better short-term potential (like this one).

The drop to 5.505 is due to a sale of 463 shares :)

Also, sudden arrival of new negative posters at around the same time is another good sign :)

I tried selling into it but got NT on II, although it did have the estimated price as 2.2 :)

Not planning to sell in general. I was immediately going to buy back on the cheaper ask.

Someone just put 10m on the ask at 2p 40 seconds after close. :)

I wonder if two people or two syndicates are fighting for control of the trading in this stock. If the price movement is profitable from a trading perspective, they might be fighting to control it and continuing to raise the stakes.

Its a little like high-stakes heads-up poker online. There are syndicates fighting for control of the available tables, so they get to play the fish.
