Yes, this. I can understand holding the ask down if they had surplus shares, but holding down the ask while refusing to sell makes no sense, unless your objective is to stifle trading and hold the price down. I'm just missing a motive :)

Cantor at it again. They just dropped the Ask to 4.5 for no apparent reason. All other MMs between 4.7 and 5.0

I wish CB wouldn't be so specific about expected assay timescales. There is no real benefit to doing so and there is a downside if the assays turn out to be 'late' vs that expectation.

I don't filter very often, but my sanity has to take precedence :)

In the recent annual report (July I think), CB said it was unlikely the company would need to raise money in the following twelve months, so there is minimal chance of a placing any time soon.

Taken at face value, it sounds like he believes Racecourse is just a finger of a much bigger porphyry. However, that would be so huge that I can't bring myself to believe it :)

For now, I am working on the assumption he meant something else, so I am not disappointed later :)

Yes, the comment about the 'main porphyry' was very interesting. Exact quote was: "We sit with the main porphyry, which is bigger than Racecourse, yet untested".

I believe that Bushranger is the entire licence area of about 500 km2, while Racecourse is an area of about 70 km2 that contains the current JORC. It's possible that Colin has accidentally let something slip that he hasn't mentioned before, although he could have just mis-spoke and meant something else.

The share price is currently 4.04. Surely that must be an error?

I just checked further and the RNS about the Chairman buying 2m shares (I don't think that can be viewed as anything except good news) was at 3pm.

I don't think the timing was anything to do with good or bad news. The majority of XTR RNS releases over the past year have been late morning or afternoon. 7am releases are quite rare. Just click on the RNS list above and check.

Of course, Bushranger is working in a completely different time zone, but Zambia is only an hour ahead of us. Maybe Colin just likes to sleep late, or his employees do :)

Just use any calculator. Multiply the number of shares you intend to buy multipled by the cost of those shares. Add that to the current value of your existing shares. Divide that number by your new total number of shares. That is your new average cost.

Now down 7% on 0.2% of shares traded. MMs having fun as usual.

On L2 we are down about 4% on 946k shares traded, which is about 0.1% of shares in issue. This is why short-term movements are deceiving. 99.9% shares haven't changed hands and we are down 4% :)

Besides, the whole mining sector is suffering today, so I would not read too much into it.

Cantor just moved to 4.1 bid and 4.6 ask :)
