Haha. How can you compare jd sports to Debenhams?

You must be a trader trying to influence negatively or a very special person….

Debenhams revenue and profits steadily declined in its last 10 years of trading (we are also comparing a company that had an operating profit of 100m and 40m for the final 2 years compared to jd sports with close to £1b)

Your comparison is a huge joke.

Just check figures. Jd sports is ever growing, expanding and looking to increase revenue. It’s not in a decline, this share/company is a winning horse to back long term

The shares movement downwards is based on people’s fear. Not based on how the company is performing. The company is very strong and have very big growth plans.

At some point the share will bounce back and shoot upwards quite fast, probably more likely to happen on next financial update. The next update they will be extremely careful with their words. All I see currently is a very cheap share that’s worth grabbing with any spare money you have!

At 80p it’s just too cheap , no real good reason to drop 20% after posting strong profits in a weak economic time (the only reason it dropped was because they incorrectly forecasted….)

One thing to remember, is that for maximum profit you need to invest in stocks when the economy is looking down.

Do you think this share would be at this price if the economy was booming? And would you make a high profit investing in the same stock at a higher entry point?

These are things to consider.

If you have 5 years to wait, personally I would go heavy on a share like this.

My money is there, market closed. Nothing can be changed now. Risky holding on for results in an environment that we are currently in! Higher the risk, higher the reward I guess, in a different circumstance this share wouldn’t be this low.

Not a lot compared to some of the big fish here I’m sure but, it’s a lot of money for me. I have faith in the information and historical data that I have read, if all of what I have read is true, this company will not fail at this point….

I disagree mate. Yes the market may dictate the value of the total market stocks . However we are also investing in a business/company based on their achievements.

No ftse 100 company will be of value if it can’t deliver its KPI’s over the long term. Yes of course fluctuations may be possible with people making strange decisions, but I feel safe with a company that has shown consistent growth.

If you don’t care about growth- invest in Lloyds! Let’s see their future stock price in 10 years 🤣

Any price changes due to market movements is not what I’m investing in, I’m investing in stock price movements based on business development.

This is no tech giant but is certainly growing and have big plans to grow further.

If you look at the companies historical data, it shows they have been growing every year for over a decade ….

I cannot see this share going much lower and if it did, it would only be temporary. This companies growth plans are extremely high, if they achieve the growth they aim for this share could end up very very high in the coming years.

Also look at director purchases and sales. They are still only buying, investing in the business they are running (shows confidence and ambition )

I don’t think the company directors will allow their own money to disappear…. They will bring in the figures required!

Honestly someone that would be investing these sums of cash (£300k and £700k) wouldn’t be on this board telling everyone (strangers) about it!

I don’t see the need to keep going on about your investment figure - you can get your point across without the need to provide details like that.

Anyway, really hoping for an upward trend soon, it’s going to be strong figures, the company has been growing every year for the last decade, revenue growth and company expansion is continuing….. profits don’t always relate to the company’s success if they are growing and investing!

I wouldn’t bother selling unless you are day trading huge sums. Even then it’s risky.

I almost guarantee anyone selling their shares now or have done in recent weeks have only decided to want to repurchase their same shares back again at either the same price or higher.

This share is very unlikely to drop, if it did - it wouldn’t go far and would rebound upwards faster than you can click “buy”

All my opinion, may be wrong. But I’m quite confident.

I believe there could still be a nice rally due. Be patient. After the initial deramping , share prices will recover where they should , due to share holders not wanting to sell their stocks :)

A few people posting concerns about a few pence drop. This stock is going to continue climbing, most people that hold this stock maybe sitting on a profit, but unlikely want to sell as most people that currently hold this stock know that it’s currently cheap . These funny posts from you guys wanting to sell your stocks, please go ahead. (No idea why you tell us in the first place)

Why would the share price of a multi billion £ company drop from a small incident in one airport by a different airline on one particular day out of the year? How much financial impact do you really think that has in relation to the companies long term health and strength?

This company is a growth company. They are obviously expanding and continuing to grow their business in alll aspects. They are increasing their profits, and also increasing their revenue. Some other ftse 100 companies are in revenue decline, maybe increasing profits from business cost management but overall loosing their customers and slowing declining with no vision for growth. To me this share will intime give back to investors through share price and dividends. If you hold long term you will be rewarded 100%.

You cannot argue their revenue and profit growth year on year.
