Afternoon chaps, Busy day for me, this cold weather keeps me a busy bee. Usual day in the life of Dfs today, ie, I haven't a clue what's going on. All I hope is we can finish blue to settle my nerves. I'm all spent up now so I'll have to sit back on the sidelines. Couldn't agree more badger. There's nothing to say one of my other shares won't keep dropping. If it opens around 2.13/,14 tomorrow, I will sell something and buy a few more here. As we've seen here, it does seem to follow a daily pattern so here's hoping there's no other £700k sellers around :) I still think the mm's have done us at the end there and we'll open around 2.17/2.18. I like this board, I wonder what it will be like when we are all showing a big profit ? See you at the £5 party haha

2 late buys reported after that big sell late on today so I guess we'll open 2.17/2.18 in the morning. No chance for us mere mortals to get in at 2.13. Boooo

Hello oldbadger, It sure is a bumpy ride at the moment isn't it? I'm staying put, the minute I sell, it will fly to an all time high. I have fantastic timing at choosing the wrong moment so if anything, I'll sell something and add more. The divi gives us a bit of a cushion (pun intended). At the moment I think I probably have enough money in here to open my own store. Let's hope we get noticed soon and people start buying in. Gee this is a tough old game. Ste

I'm really suprised people haven't started loading up for the divi. It's less than 2 weeks away if I remember correctly. I've bought in anything between 2.15-2.26 and I'm £5k down on paper as we speak. I bet I can't get in to buy at 2.13 in the morning otherwise I'd be selling some of my other shares and loading up here. Averaging down and hoping for a rise is what I'll probably do now but it is bloody annoying seeing it drift day by day. I think they probably brought it down to fill that £700k sell so as per usual, I'm hoping it will start to rise tomorrow. As was pointed out, Advent sold to fund another purchase, not because there was anything wrong here. Let's just see what happens at 8am tomorrow an see what price it opens at. Good luck chaps

Good morning chaps, today seems to be following the usual pattern. You guys have made some interesting comments. It's funny, I wouldn't consider my self a gambler, I never bet on horses or the football but it's actually exactly what I'm doing with my pension. I agree, the trades are put through to put us at a disadvantage at trying to guess which way the market's going. It seems to me that you can only look at the funadementals and any news that comes out and decide whether to place your bet. Aside from all that, I'm still quite happy here and will be sticking around. oldbadger, you got me thinking about gkp and xel again, one thing I remember about those companies was how many people lost fortunes thinking things would turn around. I remember the arguments there as people refused to accept they were dead ducks. I still feel sorry for those people everyday yet, as you say, the market makers still find a way of getting people to trade. Blimey I've bored myself so much, I've forgotten what my point was !

Hi oldbadger. Just back home. I'm glad you popped back on the board, it feels to me like it gets held back everyday for somebody to load up. As you say, my buy appeared as a sell. I find it impossible to work out where we are from the trades. I suppose it's just the market makers 'making a market' but it doesn't look right when they are dropping the bid because of a 3 share sale. My prediction for tomorrow is open higher, slowly drift down, rise again in the afternoon and then a drop right on 4.30. Sound familiar? Hopefully there's a huge buyer in the background and when they've finished, we'll fly....... It would be interesting to hear soleman1's thoughts as well. That's good to hear. I just can't help feel that there's something going on behind the scenes. This keeps gettin dropped, then large buys appear, it almost seems to be every day in here. Well, for richer, for poorer. Used my last £5k to top up at 215.26. Time to sit back and quite possibly soil myself if it goes even lower. Either I'm a complete buffoon or this is an absolute bargain
