Bushmills induced thoughts9 Feb 2019 23:17
Evening all.
Whilst I fully understand and appreciate the conservative price guesstimates on here, there are 1 or 2 things that just keep nagging away at me.
There must be numerous 'big pharma' companies that will want Iclaprim if approved. It will provide a multi year income stream, potentially in the hundreds of millions per annum; plus additional indications and worldwide on top.
What is that worth to someone like Merck or Roche? 80p gives us a market cap of around 250 million - in the grand scheme of things this seems like peanuts, unless I'm missing something?
I have no doubt that the industry is fully aware of Iclaprim and it's potential and that offers will have been made. The question for me is how much? It seems inconceivable that multi billion dollar pharma companies would just be sat around waiting to see what happens.
I believe GL himself said north of a billion in terms of value and that is what I'm hoping for in terms of an offer.
It's been a bloody long journey - like sheltie, I'm not doing this again.
Fingers crossed for this coming week and wish you all good fortune, whatever your strategy
