This hybrid service, between hotel and hospital, has a cost: between 950 and 1,100 francs per day. "The demand is there," says Cédriane de Boucaud. "The occupancy rate of this type of center is 80%." A new request for a building permit, in order to expand the initial project, will also be filed in the spring.
Seven buildings, fifty rooms
Concretely, the project foresees the realization of seven buildings including about fifty rooms, two restaurants, a spa and a fitness as well as four mazots dedicated to the medical part, as much the public offices as those connected to the private part. All in an architecture that is both modern and traditional. The whole structure should create around 100 jobs. Construction is expected to take two years. The opening of the complex is therefore expected for 2022.
Fears expressed
At the time of the questions, a person wondered about the method of financing the project. Virginie Chevrier-Gaspoz, president of the town, assures her that no public money will be invested in the private part of Evolène Santé. The municipality will however participate in the funding of medical offices open to the population, in the form of a private-public partnership.
At the very end of the session, the debate focused more on a sociological angle. A citizen wondered if there was no double talk in showing his love for Evolène while wanting to make changes. A citizen expressed her fears about Ptarmigan's desire to target a completely different clientele that could change the tourism dynamic of the town. If the interventions caused some divergences, the evening ended nevertheless with applause.
AN AGROTOURISM PROJECT IN MAYENS DE VEISIVI
Between Les Haudères and Arolla, on the heights, Ptarmigan SA has acquired the hamlet of Mayens de Veisivi. "The site is magnificent, on a plateau right on the cliff", describes Cédriane de Boucaud. “The location is perfect for hotel rooms and a conference center.” For the moment, the hamlet is however subject to strict legislation since it is located in the Mayen area. Investors are in discussion to modify the detailed development plan (PAD) and make the site pass into an agrotourism zone. "We can count on the support of the municipality," says Cédriane de Boucaud, convinced that the project remains realistic and achievable despite the complexity of the laws on land use planning and construction.
The realization of this project is however intimately linked to another project, that of the cable car between Les Haudères and Arolla. A bond deemed essential by investors. “All of our projects must be economically viable. If we have no doubts about the Evolène medical complex and the Grand Hotel and Kurhaus in Arolla, that remains to be seen for the Mayens de Veisivi, ”agrees Cédriane de Boucaud. "If the cable car stops there, its viability is assured."

Evolène: a 125 million project presented to the population

INNOVATIVE The company Ptarmigan SA, run by the English couple Cédriane de Boucaud and Edmund Truell, plans to invest in a health center. A presentation of the projects was organized on Thursday evening.
The room is packed. The two hundred chairs are far from enough. They were numerous, last night, the Evolénards curious to discover the contours of "Evolène Santé". It is true that the project led by the company Ptarmigan SA has been mentioned for several years. Behind this company, a couple, Cédriane de Boucaud and Edmund Truell fell in love with the region in 2010. They married Evolène in 2015 and did not hide their desire to invest there. The spouses foresee a commitment of 125 million spread over several sites. In addition to a medical and hotel center, intended for the population of Evolène and for hotel customers and whose construction is expected from September in the village of Evolène, the company acquired the Grand Hotel and Kurhaus in Arolla and the hamlet of Mayens de Veisivi. "To bring these projects to fruition, we will partner with other partners, ”says Cédriane de Boucaud Truell. "The adventure is well received by our financiers who believe that Evolène is a truly differentiated offer."

A concept of medical center unprecedented in Europe
Ptarmigan SA sees this difference in the offer and the target audience. Top-of-the-range service for affluent clients, senior executives suffering from metabolic problems, diabetes, obesity, stress or burn-out. The idea germinated during a discussion between Cédriane de Boucaud and a doctor responsible for the health of directors of a global financial company. The man regretted that there was no place for his highly qualified staff suffering from stress problems, chronic back pain or needing to get back in shape. If this type of center exists in Asia, it is true that it has no counterpart on our continent. "In Europe, sanatoriums are cold and not very discreet," comments Cédriane de Boucaud. "Our hosts will be people with health problems who have neither the possibility nor the entourage, nor time to be hospitalized. A problem when you know that health capital is the most important capital. ”
At Evolène, patients can count on the support of specialists: doctors, psychologists or therapists. Partnerships will be signed with Harvard, the Geneva University Hospitals (HUG), the Grangettes clinic and London hospitals. Ptarmigan SA can also count on the support of Professor Jean-Michel Gaspoz, former director of internal medicine at HUG and originally from Evolène. In charge of the medical part of the project, the local child, in love with the region, was convinced by the added value that such a project can bring to the valley. "Evolène Santé offers cutting-edge quality care, in a unique and authentic setting," said the professor.
INNOVATIVE At Evolène, the Truell couple plans to invest 125 million in a health project. Meet Cédriane, a mountain enthusiast and businesswoman above all.
Cédriane de Boucaud Truell welcomes us to the timeless setting of the Grand Hotel & Kurhaus in Arolla. Although she will not become the manager of the historic building until spring, it is she who guides us, through the kitchens, between the terrace and the large living room. Since their arrival in the region in 2010, Cédriane de Boucaud and her husband Edmund Truell have made no secret of their desire to invest there. Accompanied by financial partners, they plan a commitment of 125 million between Evolène, Arolla and the hamlet of Mayens de Veisivi. A change of scenery for this London couple at the head of a capital of over 300 million in an investment portfolio estimated at 4 billion.
Cédriane de Boucaud is not extravagant, she prefers the exchange to the monologue. She talks about her ambitions with relaxation, a certain firmness in her positions, but softness in the smile. Meeting with a lover of the mountains and sports, above all a businesswoman.
Cédriane de Boucaud Truell, how did you come to Evolène?
Having always been close to the mountains, I told Edi Truell, my husband, that despite London's strengths, living away from them was impossible for me. We worked with a property developer who showed us beautiful chalets in Verbier, Zermatt, Grimentz, but that was not what we were looking for. If we wanted to invest in the mountains, it was to be in the mountains, not to find our neighbors in London there. On the Valais map, the promoter had shown us chalets on both sides, but nothing in the middle. We asked him, “What is it there?” He replied that there, in the Val d'Hérens, there was nothing. Edi and I looked at each other and we replied: “Perfect!” The promoter was annoyed to see his commission pass under his nose, but that's how we one day landed in Arolla, where we fell in love with two abandoned barns that we visited in big snow boots. [Laughs] The small chapel of Arolla, Mont Collon, the Grand Hotel & Kurhaus, the arolles, the majestic high glaciers… We immediately felt at our place.
You say you fell in love with the nature of the Val d'Hérens. So are you completely rejecting the image of ultra-urbanized ski resorts?
Large ski resorts are a product, but it's not the one I want to offer. I think there is a great demand in our time for a different experience. The wild mountain, the built heritage, soft tourism, traditions. A place where you can enjoy nature, climb the highest mountains of the Alps. At Verbier, it is something else. I can party and ski, but I can't find myself, I can't breathe.
"Ultra-urbanized stations are a product, but not the one I want to offer."
Did you want from the start to invest in the town of Evolène?
At first, it was just to settle down. Then, we appreciated that the Evolénards knew how to preserve their assets.
Ptarmigan is creating exceptional hotels and a top-end medical facility in an exclusive, sustainable world-class Alpine destination through the development of the magnificent Evolène valley, “lost in time”, in the Swiss Canton of Valais, differentiated by its natural splendour encircled by Europe’s highest peaks.
It will become the only secured off-piste / heli-skiing / back-country skiing destination in Europe.
Ptarmigan has over the past eight years painstakingly assembled and acquired key assets in the commune d’Evolène, buying from some 50 owners, and has now finalised the acquisition terms for the last key assets. Ptarmigan comprises a genuinely unique opportunity to invest into the control of a renowned Swiss valley and ski domain.
Evolène represents one of the only historically preserved regions (architecture & environment) at the foot of some of the highest mountains in Europe, a blank canvas for historically and environmentally sensitive redevelopment. This alpine valley has maintained its authenticity and traditional integrity due to a series of accidents of history, the most important being the fact that it had no reliable road access until the 1960s. The permanent population is small, with only 1,709 in the commune of Evolène and 11,000 in the Val d’Hérens, scattered around in hamlets dating as far back as the 14th century. Nestled between Verbier and Zermatt, with excellent transport links; Evolène has been voted the most beautiful village in Valais and is privileged to have globally recognised glaciology, flora and fauna diversity and exceptional geological features.
Reacting to the over-development of alpine resorts such as Verbier, Nendaz and Crans Montana, Switzerland is demanding a new generation of development: exclusive, sustainable and architecturally and culturally sensitive.
That's a lot of land and 8 years in the making is SNT the final piece of the jigsaw??? Looking promising
I think the next significant piece of news will be the Donovon 2 farm in..
Bob mentioned the discussions had been going on for a few weeks already with a Mexican major with a large presence in the Donovon 2 area..
Fresnillo only have the 1 operating mine in the area Minera Frisco however have 4 mines in the area which would make them the prime candidate. If true and if successful the SP would rocket allowing a placing at a much more attractive price to advance the other projects.
Could be wrong but fun trying to work out UFOs next move

Great watch what I loved about it was the fact that Bill isn't the greatest presenter but his passion as a geologist and for the projects he has been selecting just shone throughout the presentation..
He really knows his stuff and as a team they gave been picking some absolute gems in terms of projects this really is undervalued as it stands...
Found the missing link to the deal...
From the Karratha website
'In 2001 the Company and its former JV partner (since withdrawn) sold certain assets relating to Elizabeth Hill, including Elizabeth Hill Plant, equipment and associated infrastructure (including tailings) (known as the Sub-Lease Assets) to a third party. Those assets were assigned and are currently owned by Artemis Resources. Artemis is yet to advise of its intentions with respect to the Sub-Lease Assets.'
From the Artemis website under directors and management Dan Smith non exec director also just happens to be non exec chairman of alien metals..
Just putting 2 and 2 together where will the equipment held by Artemis for the new acquisition go to JV partner anyone?
Artemis have a mcap of 27m.....
Could be wrong but all the pieces are there to get mining pretty quickly once the deal is done :)
Brig very positive and think we are due a big move out of a wedge shortly. Currently following the rising sma 20 @ 0.175.. quite nice to be on a knowledgeable BB with quality not endless ramp fluff although all that will come when we do move :)
Nice summary earache nice to see the SP bounce off of the 20DMA as support it's squeezing up to 0.2 nicely.. needs a little catalyst to blast it over 0.2 but should move quite quickly when it does maybe a JV will do the job :)
Cheers NB I was initially attracted by the rising chart and small MC.. on further research ufo have some great assets.. always have to be worried about dilution I see the last raise was June but believe the next peice of potential news as you highlighted would be around a JV for one of the projects if not the SP should be much higher as a result of the pilbara JV before the next raise
Evening all I came across this article on proactive inestors from the 16th of September.
'Along with the impending prospect of news-flow from a project decision in Western Australia, we also await further exploration results from Alien’s extensive portfolio of silver and gold prospective projects in Mexico, and possible news of JV deals.'
Just wanted to know if we have had all the current drill results As per the 6th of September RNS or if we're still waiting for sampling to be completed?
