I agree - OMI has material scope for positive surprises.

Sharetrader123, holdings that banks may have as principal - ie where they control the voting rights - aren’t aggregated with any holdings where they don’t control the voting rights (ie nominee accounts). See 5.1.4A https://www.handbook.fca.org.uk/handbook/DTR/5.pdf

So your assertion that the percentages might be a combination of customer AND bank principal accounts is incorrect.

Consider also that if the holdings shown were principal investments by the banks concerned, they would have had to file TR1s. As they are nominee holdings, there is no obligation to file TR1s. See 5.1.3(2) https://www.handbook.fca.org.uk/handbook/DTR/5.pdf

We haven’t seen TR1’s from these banks precisely because these are nominee holdings.

Coggy - the holdings shown against the high street banks (Lloyds, Barclays, HSBC) will be ordinary private investors via their banks nominee accounts, not those banks taking positions as principal(s).

Remember when the price was up at 25p just a couple of weeks ago you were telling this board "...40 bags to look forward to from here..", "...bring on the special dividend..", "...roll on the multi-pounds.." etc

But then you told us you bought back in on the bottom tick (of course!) of 15.75p. Readers here might speculate that you were selling whilst ramping and are now back in for another go. I'm sure that can't be true... Anyway, your new position here is off to a good start! I expect you are priming the pump that powers your firehose of falsehoods for another 180 posts in the coming days..!

I am not at all convinced that "Loryser selling" is the only reason for the observed price action though. 70m shares traded in the last 30 days. Only 10m to be sold over two years per the agreement, and there were previous spikes into which some were surely shifted.

Posters here will be quick to tell you "..this will fly when Loryser are out." etc. Be careful how you interpret such posts.

"The Agreement contemplates that net proceeds from the sale of Loryser’s assets in Uruguay together with the issuance of 10 million common shares of Orosur shall fully satisfy all amounts owing to Loryser’s creditors as well as provide funds for Loryser to conduct this process and close operation responsibly. As contemplated by the Agreement, Loryser would manage the process,, to be completed within two years. The issuance of common shares of Orosur is subject to approval of the Toronto Stock Exchange."

Court approval was given on September 17th 2019, so they have about 60 days left to sell the rest of their holding.

Investors - and potential investors - should take the time to watch/listen to it. The "reporting" of content here has been selective to say the least. Some of the eye-catching claims posted repeatedly on this board are mistaken at best, or intended to mislead. Watch it yourself and form your own views.

The presentation itself is a good summary of where the company is. The Anzá project has enormous potential, but is only in the very early stages of development. It is nonsense to suggest that APTA, or Anzá, let alone OMI as a whole are "derisked". In a regulated environment it would be impossible to make such assertions... Brad George says carefully that the drilling programme has proven the existence of high-grades at APTA, but that it will take many years to delineate the extent of the mineralisation and millions of additional $ to produce a resource statement.

This is a long term project that will reward patient long-term investors if successful. I am content to hold at the current level, but don't anticipate overnight riches from OMI.

Both are trading at roughly 50% of their recent peaks. Along with the rest of the junior miners...

Market cap comparison between OMI and GGP is valid and relevant. The number of shares in issue is however entirely irrelevant. Absent issuance, MCap and SP will rise in lockstep regardless of the number of shares in issue. I am tired of multi-account posters on LSE trying to support their investment objectives by influencing the many inexperienced investors on these boards. Some - like Degsy - are repeat offenders. It’s funny to watch them at work when they need to exit a short-term position they’ve perhaps taken on in haste. Like a monkey holding a nut in a bottle their only exit option is to drop the nut.

I bought most of my holding in mid 2020, the balance I added in March of this year at around the current price. I sat on my hands during the October '20 and Feb '21 ramp-a-thons (curiously the last two times we saw much from Degsy, although to be fair he's used a new account each time) and will be doing the same here.

The APTA drilling results have proven the existence of high grade mineralisation, which is fantastic news for holders.

We're in the early stages of what John Kaiser defines as step #3 of 9, "Discovery Delineation". Orosur themselves (page 7) indicate that it will likely be 6-8 years until a 43-101 resource estimate / feasibility study is prepared. Describing APTA - never mind the Anzá project as a whole - as "derisked" is either stupid or a cynical attempt to manipulate inexperienced investors reading this board.

We should all wish Degsy the very best of luck in unloading his position. Looks like an uphill task to me right now.

43m shares traded between 6th and 8th of July after the RNS. Price burst through 20p at 9am on 6th. Everyone who bought from then on is either sitting on a loss or has realised a loss. Only 8m traded since 9th July, so most are still in and underwater.

The current outbreak of frantic/laughable posts on this board tell are a tell-tale sign that some who have secured long positions are looking to get out. Not so much "They want your shares" as "They want you to buy their shares"...

LTH's can observe from the sidelines. OMI is years away from being "derisked". Those thinking of adding to their positions shouldn't feel immediate pressure.
