Think Matt needs to take some advice from the Dragons!!! As they said on more than one occasion, there's no good selling your products at a loss however many millions you could sell, as it won't generate a return for your investors and it's not sustainable to protect your customers from price rises, especially if you cannot generate a profit!!!!! At the moment it is better to charge the VAT because if HMRC appeal fails then THG get to keep all of the VAT charged it is not refunded to individuals who purchased the product for some strange legal reason....So long as it's not impacting too much on sales, then every day the potential pool of VAT money grows quite substantially.
