Let me get this right, professional traders like you never buy high and sell low when the market goes against them. they close all their trades by friday and write for 'motley fool'.

It's the traders, buy high sell low.

Broomtwig, but they don't buy shares they think will go down, they borrow them (at a cost) or naked short sell, which is illegal. or sell on a spread bet etc. but like yourself all a bit underhand and deceitful.

Naked short selling is illegal, do brokers collude, small investors need better protection. forward selling should also be illegal.

Might put off rainbow chasers.

Traders also buy high and sell low, only a small percentage make a living, odds are staked against them.

Spoofing shares is illegal but i think it goes on a lot especially with algorithms.
