Looking like another of those days. Other airlines not falling in line with Wizz. IAG & Ryanair are up. Jet2 & EZJ not down as much. Happy to be proved wrong but predict this will finish back up as those daily shorts are closed plus others buying.

General sector decline today. The big 5 all falling between 2% & 3%. Also was gradual not a sudden 5% drop & so most probably not a coordinated hedge sell and subsequent buying swoop 🤠

Seems to be a pattern, that it can open and quickly be 3 to 5% down. Then recover through the day and finish up. Just look at today's range. 1350 to 1447.

This could possibly a coordinated hedge sell at the start, they they buy back. But more shorts take the opportunity to close so it finishes higher. I may try buying if it drops significantly on opening for no apparent reason, and no significant sector-wide selloff.

So this 9% short position allows significant buying when there's an orchestrated hedge sell. The volatility is essentially down to this short position.

The other airlines had a tiny range today by comparison.

Was certainly a great move to buy today at 1356.

Well it's 47.6% up since early Nov now. Johnbri4 will be preaching "sideways" and "going nowhere" til the cows come home. Meanwhile having passed my previous pet hate prediction, we are gloriously close to the February one of 1456. Preach love not hate JohnBoy.

The fact it's down 70% in 5 years is all the more reason to justify the huge increase to come as Varadi navigates Wizz out of that difficult period.

And those investors who paid 13p in the placing are already 23% up. Where's Alice? She did predict a placing bless her 💋🤠

1356 of course is significant because it saw the greatest earthquake of Central Europe in that fine city of Basel.

So 1356 is a portent of turbulence culminating in a devastating (for shorters) explosion. The biggest in central European airline history.

@Lee21 it's still over 9% because Point72 Europe is still on 0.47% - they only reduced by about 30,000 shares. Still over 9 million buys to come yum yum.

Although Point72 Europe are for now under the radar and we won't know if and when they reduce further.
