Not technically short. I correctly called when this was in the 30s that it was heading south, so I moved out my main holding to make some money elsewhere. I knew I'd kick myself if someone did something unexpected (they haven't) so I left a small fraction in. So far it's up a bit compared to when I bought in moons ago, but not worth doing anything with. It has the fringe benefit of annoying rampers here who claim I'm not invested. My small hedge would appear to out-vote most of their holdings (except Red's sister-in-law's nephews dog sitter who owns 7% at last top up 🤣)

20deg + 30deg is not 50deg. Well done. Maybe you're not completely beyond teaching. But what temperature do you think two equal volumes of 20 and 30 degree water would be of mixed, for example?

You can absolutely average temperature across a system like earth. You're digging in despite arguing against entire fields of science.

To keep going with your logic, you have to tell the good boys and girls here that the entire world of physics is lying and wrong when they regularly average things like pressure, temperature or concentration that are similarly non additive. If I have an undisturbed beaker of salt water that is more concentrated at the bottom, are you hand-on-heart telling me you believe there is no way to find the average concentration of salt in that system? Because if you can see that that is both possible and relatively easy, you're on your way to understanding why digging in over something against the entirety of science is so dumb.

You haven't looked up how average temperatures are calculated, have you slug? Your steadfast (read: autistic) belief that it can't be done (in spite of several fields of science relying on the methodology for centuries) is preventing you from learning. Like your refusal to learn how isotope data tells us about the unprecedented release of ancient carbon into the atmosphere as CO2, or how breaking the bonds in water will always require energy, rather than release it.
