The latest Investing Matters Podcast with Jean Roche, Co-Manager of Schroder UK Mid Cap Investment Trust has just been released. Listen here.
Could it be used as a path to market for a private co? Plenty of juicy losses to take advantage of. Just a thought.
T: Single - If reporting a single protected transaction. A protected transaction occurs when a large order is going through the market. The buyer (or seller) may wish to keep the order anonymous from the rest of the market as the size of the order could greatly alter the price of the stock. With a protected transaction the dealer will put the trade through in small quantities rather than knock the whole order out in one hit. The entire transaction is reported once the deal is completed. The LSE is notified at the start and at the end of the transaction, however, the market as a whole isn't told until the end, thus the order is protected.
still for every seller there is a buyer!
well at least the big trade is now in the open - hence the fall

Thanks for your honesty Raleigh. Re MXLG, I cant see why LG would want to only end up with a few piddly MSP's so I am guessing the end game is going to be something of substance. All to play for with RCN - perhaps 6degrees will take them on and then IDE will get swallowed up in the grand finale .
I'm trying to work out the scale of the joint enterprise that MXC & LG are trying to achieve. LG certainly have plenty of fire power but who is backing MXC?
Now that this collaboration has been announced we have two very interesting and exciting propositions in preventative medicine. PM is likely to gain more traction and pharma focus will surely shift from cures and treatments to being able to ward something off in the first place. (afterall a responsible government would surely want to avoid putting its populaton through the ravages of MRSA (the most dangerous woman in the world) and Cov19 - if it can be avoided. Rather like the blonde buffoon trying get the nation to lose weight and the orange one wanting to disinfect all known life processes...... I may mock but prevention is certainly the way ahead. (Who knows with this latest tie-up and DEST's fasttrack with the FDA they may well be a sitting duck at this price?)
they are almost damned by the amount of shares in issue. Some Delboys wont think its a bargain unless its in the units not realising its all relative to amount of shares in issue.........
£2.50 from house broker Fcap. - FWIW
perhaps MXLG and Ian Smith will have a pop at RCN
Will also be a bonus when FinnCap issue a broker's note. It's all a bit 'in the air (cloud)' at the moment.
I would imagine that Adam will be brought in to "strengthen the senior management team" as per previous RNS.
The (ex) owner of Nimoveri certainly has a good track record. Of particular note is his experience working for Equinix. https://uk.linkedin.com/in/adameaton85
And a sitting one whilst stabilizing ??
If someone were to make an offer - even a low ball one it would at least put it on other investor's radars. The beauty here is that the debt is in house and the likes of MXC, Kestrel & Dobbie have invested far too much time, effort and money for them to accept anything cheeky. The news I was expecting concerned their results.
Why can't I have an opinion? If IDE are doing as well as I believe, at this share price/ market cap they could well be a sitting duck.
No tweets from IDE since April. They were usually quite twittery.
Expecting some good news in the week. I think the old adage of 'no news good news' will play out. Just my personal opinion - not advice.
Be good to see some results!
Not sure as to the size of Iomart's war chest but IDE would be a good acquisition. It's a shame there has been no news - hopefully no news good news.
