In all likelyhood this is going to turn around rather rapidly now. too many options in our favour.
Its fairly obvious the TH meeting will be to address more than the news just dropped. I think a plan will have been announced by then (or release of interest RNS). we should not concern ourselves with Newmont anymore. they made a choice and will have to deal with the results of that.
There will be a strategy and an answer. It will be declared when it's time, maybe (most likely) a suitor may have already made previous intimations of getting involved, maybe wyloo will fund it, maybe a consortium jumps in to take telfer.
Be sure of 1 thing. Nobody on this board has a seat in GGP office so they know fcuk all about what's coming next. Don't get drowned in fairy tale espionage by doomers.
I think a lot of us are getting fed up topping up at constant lower prices, that's the issue. How can something so close be continually getting a lower SP. the next RNS from this lot needs to be reversing this issue now. SD cannot go down as the man that dilutes shareholders to out of their investment.
Some of the schite being posted on here is ridiculous. this is a Newmont decision and SD will act accordingly with no doubt, pre-planned strategies. the fact ggp has made no comment regarding this is obviously because there is more to it that cannot yet be stated. have we seen % holders suddenly dumping stock....NO.
let the children post their 'going nowhere' rubbish. you wont catch a whiff of them when the next moves are announced. you do not fast track a project from 10y+ down to 3y to walk away for peanuts.
That game is well and truly on now. Newmont will not want to drag this out and neither will the asset operators. I am sure we will get some updates by mid march
Someone will show their hand on this quickly. lets see that rns in the morning...we have received an offer to acquire the entire share capital.....lol
Look at the stupid spread going in to close.
Offer short term royalties instead of diluting anyone even more.
Of course he knew. and this is what i think is probably a big issue for the shorters. if he drops an rns saying interested parties, blah blah, blah. its bad news for them. we just have to trust he knows he played another blinder (as in the 5% scenario)
Wyloo are not going to let this slip through their fingers. rio will need to pin down a J/V strategy. the ore is about to come out, this must be very interesting for outside interest now
Was a 50/50 outcome anyway. not a big issue. usual market nonsense
Seems the uncertainty has now been removed. no doubt someone will table a low ball offer now. high teens max. lets see what SD does next.
Crypto is good, BUT... you need electricity to even be able to show someone you have it. lights go out and i wouldnt struggle moving the gold coin in my pocket.
Seems that the article, accurate or not, has truly rocked the schite out of the shorter. filling the board with crap all night on a friday as well. the one tool they have is the Board and when a majority are invested for years, know the background and know the potential, these idiots dont stand a chance . quite funny really. desperate to scare but the reality is our time is coming.
Greatland Gold — perhaps not all of GGP, but its 30% of Havieron. It’s about 50:50 whether the newly empowered Newmont will dispose of its 70% and Telfer, or make an offer to Greatland for its 30% of the massive gold deposit. But one way or another, some certainty will be found in 2024.
Have you seen how full the corgi order book is....lol
There should be a rule across stocks where you cannot buy/sell when the value is less than £100. all these ridiculous reported trades are unbelievable . 1p, 59p, 90p, 99p.
maybe the 1 if its followed by rns, but thats it.
How do you open higher than previous days close and still show it as being down.
Maybe this is what the interview is actually for because the quarterly update is fully covered now. we dont need another rehash of that news.
