I dont recall anyone mentioning lubricants. Not all lubricants are oil based but a substantional proportion is. Even electric cars will need grease for bearings etc and some form of oil somewhere.

And MI6 Brom?

There's a host of uses for oil other than fuel. They have been listed before many times. I think Brom produced a comprehensive list a year or So ago. So demand is not going to diminish overnight.

Hi Brom. Hope you had a good break, and also nice to see MM contributing again, not that I doubt he's been anywhere except on the farm in a v busy period of the year. For me in a period of some domestic crises, I've not been able to look on here for a few days and glad I havent looking back this morning at some of the rubbish that's been spewing out recently. You could well - pardon the pun - be right. As has been stated so many times, all these figures & dates quoted etc are all approximate because this type of science is not exact. I'm an engineer & project manager - not in oil - but its plain to see the project is progressing well ( another pun ) within the time frame - frame being the operative word - so there's nothing to worry about. There are far too many external influences to pin everything down to an exact time & date & IMO this is one of the reasons why the panickers have sold too early.

It made perfect sense to me Much on. I'm no oiler at all but having read the process & researched as much as I could I think I understand enough to realise the well opening, drill & flowback etc. It strikes me the seller's are people with more money than sense. My shares aren't going anywhere.

Morning. Looking at the day chart, the drop occurred BEFORE the announcement then immediately started to recover. What caused the drop is jitters I think because the ANN itself is v positive.
