The latest Investing Matters Podcast with Jean Roche, Co-Manager of Schroder UK Mid Cap Investment Trust has just been released. Listen here.
DGM. Not sure , but don't feel very brave about this one. I have topped up 3 times on the way down to here. My average price paid is over 8p. For some reason which eludes me, my instincts tell me not to top up again. This means I should probably sell and expect to buy back in later at lower sp. 10% spread though.........aghhh!
HHO. Another interesting day for HHO on the horizon. Brave souls can make money with this much activity, and swings on sp.
DGM. Just opened my third ice cold Miller:)
DGM. Ged, chill! I for one appreciate reading these pages. We don't always get it right, although sometimes we do. People seem to treat some posts as gospel, and get offended when things go the wrong way. I don't. It's my cash, and my decision. If you're worried about this forum, then maybe there's another place we can "talk". Regards to all....
HHO. Hi Ged, interesting words - do you mind telling me where you obtained the proposal? It sounded grim from the rns...
HHO. I'm surprised there are so many sellers at 1.05p. Unlikely to be selling at a profit. Been a fun day today, but tyring to get some real work done too!
EPO. Pos news and 20% rise in sp today. Still buys going through.
HHO. I bought at 1.19 on the way down, and 1.15 on the way up. I therefore somehow managed to be both early and late...?!? Doh!
EPO. The Board of earthport was notified on the 28th November 2005 that W. B. Nominees Limited is the registered holder of 945,335 Ordinary Shares of 10p each in the Company, representing approximately 6.5% of the Company’s issued Share Capital.
HHO. My broker is offering 1.15 bid price. I have topped up twice this morning. Trades are taking ages to get posted on this site, so watch the sp thru your broker!
HHO. Offer at 1.15p
HHO. Buying today would be either to dilute average acquisition price or to make a quick buck on a bounce. To be fair, I am surprised this has kept falling today.........
HHO. Bottom picking is a dirty business!
HHO. But I think this is precisely the time to buy - if you think there is any future for the company! It's the opposite of when companies are going forward - then it's "Buy on the rumour, sell on the news". With HHO right now it could be "Buy on the news, sell on the rumour" or it could all go wrong, the company fails to negotiate a package and goes bust.
HHO. Actually, just topped up. Have confidence in KM, and sp better value at these levels.
HHO. Exactly that. More shares will be issued to the banks to write off debt. The main worry is that this is taking a month longer than was originally stated. At the end of the day, the banks need to work out the best way to get their money back. At least if they take shares, the p&l looks better, but it does depress the sp. Long term play - I'm so down on this I might as well stay in for another 12 M and hope KM and his new team can turn it round. There will be a buying opportunity - not sure it's today.
ZGP. I think I'll be topping up some time on Tuesday. Unless early trades are big sells should make sense. There was an RNS out this morning about a new deal with Wanadoo to speed up dial-up customers - I thought it was a bit wishy washy, but am v surprised by the fall in sp.
BEG. I'm back in today. Sold VOG earlier after buying on Friday. BEG keeps buying smaller businesses, and is now entering into the personal debt arena. Buy.
EPO. SP up 10p in the last week. Shame I was strapped last week...
