Bad day coming? Every day is a bad day but some are less bad than others. I am invested here because I look at the big picture and not just the price of a barrel of oil. My carbon foot print is very small because what little I buy comes mainly from China and I disregard theirs. I own my humble abode so if the interest rate goes up and I begin to think it must and people lose fortunes on promenade sheds makes little difference to me in the grand scheme of things. I have no wish to visit a foreign clime for for that matter partake of of hospitality as I do not imbibe alcohol. I prefer speedway to football and
prefer the 'Last of the Summer Wine' to'Newsnight'. When I look at the prospects of a company and whether to invest I ask myself some questions. What is the demand, what is the return and would I want to run it. Enquest is in my portfolio because it is proving a survivor in what has been a torrid time for oilies. There is still a need for it and that will persist long after I no longer care. Investing is about the big picture. Make a mistake and you pay. My Morrison more card is now cut up and in the bin..

A beach hut in Felixstowe sold for 65K. I could have sold them an old shed for half that... Seems my gas boiler will have to be junked in 2025 and my dirty diesel will be banned from the road... I will have to steal a bike like every one else does..
